There are areas of improvement. But overall, I am satisfied. The faculties are top notch and very well qualified. We are given good case studies and decent companies come to campus for recruitment. Overall the college is a decent college for someone with more than 80 percentile.

KJ Somaiya Institute of Management and Research (SIMSR) offers a curriculum praised for its relevance, comprehensiveness, and practicality. Prospective students are attracted to its blend of core subjects, electives, and hands-on experiences. The curriculum effectively prepares students for real-world scenarios through industry interactions and practical learning. Areas for improvement include updating content, enhancing experiential learning, and offering more elective flexibility. Exams are designed to assess understanding without excessive difficulty, with ongoing efforts to align with student capabilities.

I'll rate the course as an 7/10. Curriculum lacks practical exposure at times, there are lesser field trips than there should be. Curriculum mostly covers everything, faculties are good and are mostly PhDs with a lot of experience. It's a trimester system with exams every 2-2.5 months and difficulty level is easy to moderate

This program encompasses all fundamental aspects of MBA studies, delving into subjects such as accounting, statistics, and Python basics. Such a holistic approach not only equips students with a thorough understanding of various disciplines but also facilitates informed decisions regarding major and minor specializations. Having exposure to a diverse array of subjects offers students invaluable insights, empowering them to navigate their academic and professional journeys with confidence and clarity.

It's fun. MBA is more challenging and more time rewarded course. You feel like having a good considerable amount of time which you don't usually have while pursuing the course. It has a lot of relevance and comprehensiveness when looked from that pov.
The course curriculum in first year includes all the basics of business administration that covers topics on Marketing, Finance, HR and others as welll. By the second year you can take specialisation on what you desire to pursue.

The overall curriculum and course is well planned. It is updated as per requirements and necessities. The course is planned in such a way that students will be able to learn as much as possilble from various sources. Case studies, presentations, assignments and tests are there to make students industry ready. Still I think management needs to adopt strict rules for mainting discipline as students are usually late for morning lectures and also I would suggest the practice of GD-PI for companies will be more helpful.

It's a great curriculum the time is equally divided for classes as well as self-learning. The life of a MBA student is hectic but yes it also helps u to manage your time and to get your priorities right.

The couse syllabus and structure is fairly good, but improvements are needed in some areas. Techers need to explain the concepts first, rather than directly jumping to case studies and presentations. However, the number of case studies solved in class is too less compared to other institutes such as the IIMs and other top institutes. Attendance and regularity of faculty and students is good though.
As a B-School, KJ Somaiya has certain factors which are advantageous, such as location, ROI, alumni base. Since Mumbai is the corporate hub of India, the college easily attracts many companies. SIMSR has a huge alumni base with people working at imminent positions in the corporate world.
However, it doesn’t come under the top B-Schools in India. SIMSR brand doesn’t have much recognition. Although it attracts many companies, the placement average isn’t at the same level as top B-Schools. KJ Somaiya placements 2022 had an average CTC of INR 10.95 LPA.
KJ Somaiya is definitely a better option of the two. My cousin is a KJ Somaiya alumni and he claims the college to be one of the best in the country
Judging from these points one can easily say that KJ Somaiya is a better option than IMT Ghaziabad. Also if you have an excellent resume and a strong profile you can also go for IIMs or other top B Schools.
krunalI don’t think judging a college solely on the basis of placements is justified. Yet I have tabulated the placement statistics below to give an overall comparison.
