Yes, pursuing an MBA Executive from FMS Delhi is indeed a very good decision. This is because my brother was in the recent batch and according to him these are the reasons that make it a good choice ROI: The fees charged at this B School are very less in comparison to other B schools. Rigor: The MBA Executive Program is quite rigorous with classes 6 days a week. Regular exams, sessionals, projects, and assignments make it a bit frustrating but in the end, they help you in clearing semesters. Faculty: The faculty for this program is very experienced and knowledgeable. Mixed batch: The diverse profiles of your peers make it a more challenging and thrilling experience. The batch has doctors, engineers, CAs, Armed forces officers, PSU employees, and IT professionals. Duration: 2 years Degree: An MBA degree from Delhi University is worth it in the end.

What is the fee structure in FMS Delhi for MBA

The tuition Fees at FMS Delhi are one of the lowest and most affordable Business schools in the country. The Annual tuition fee for MBA-Full Time and Ph.D. programs at FMS is INR 10,480/-year. For MBA-Executive and MBA-Executive (Health Care Administration) programs, the annual fee is INR 50,000 in two equal installments of INR 25,000 each. FMS does not have a hostel facility so its students live in the vicinity of the campus in PFs and flats. The monthly expenses range from 15-30k based on your maintenance. However, the campus hostel is cheap and excellent. The fee for the campus hostel is INR 1400 for accommodation and INR 1200 for food. So the total fees is very low compared to other top B Schools that are similar in ranking to FMS. Also if you consider the following ROI, FMS students don’t have to really pay much from their pocket Stipend from summer placements National level scholarships, Merit based scholarships, and Need-based scholarships offer lakhs of rupees in awards and grants A number of opportunities of providing paid consulting to top corporates Working with various firms and organizations on live projects and experiential learning programs. SPJIMR has been among the top 5 or 10 B Schools over the past few years consistently. Its brand value can be compared to XLRI, FMS, and even IIMs except for IIM ABC. This is because even now there are some roles offered to IIM ABC students that are not offered at SPJIMR. But this is not a major issue as these roles seek only extraordinary profiles and In Fact, many other roles offered at IIM ABC are lower than average. In SPJIMR even the lowest package is decent and the range of salary is not very broad. This year, SPJIMR's average package stood at INR 33.02 LPA. Other key points to note in comparison to old IIMs is that our Highest CTC is lower than that of IIMs but our Lowest CTC is higher than that of IIMs. So I will suggest anyone with an exceptionally good profile to choose IIM whereas someone with a decent average profile should go for SPJIMR only. It is important to note that getting roles at SPJIMR is a bit easier than IIMs mainly because of the small batch size and less competition.

What is a better option between IIM Ahmedabad and FMS Delhi given that I have no financial help from my parents?

Financially speaking, FMS Delhi is a better option. The fees are extremely low compared to most other B Schools. The low fees do not compromise the quality of education here. But the accommodation and other expenses are high in Delhi. So the best option is to get a hostel in DU. But if you are okay with below-average rooms then rooms are available near FMS in the Malka Ganj area. They cost around INR 4000-7000. If you go for IIM Ahmedabad, the scholarships and student loans will help you a lot. They will cover your tuition and hostel fees and will have to just pay your personal expenses (10k-15k in PG). One won’t regret investing in IIM Ahmedabad in the long run. But the ultimate choice is yours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is less rigorous as compared to the top IIMs as there are only two semesters in a year in FMS. But the course prepares you just as well! Teachers discuss a lot of case studies in classes to prepare you for the real world. As the institute has a lower batch strength, it significantly improved the student teacher ratio. The professors here are very approachable and supportive.

Student driven campus: All activities are planned by students themselves on the campus

No hostel facilities for students to reside and learn together providing better opportunities for networking and collaboration.

The course curriculum is divided into 4 semesters as compared to 6 semesters in IIMs. Only final exams are conducted and internal assessment takes place throughout the semester. Final exams are of 70 marks and internal assessment is of 30 marks. The curriculum is well rounded and prepares the students for corporate life.

the faculty here are new . some are still old. Attendance matters the most as their is a requirement for minimum 75% attendance. All the teachers here are PhD holders and teaching is mostly based on case studies and examples. the exams are of moderate level.

So, basically, there are 4 semesters, each including 8 subjects. In each semester of the first year, you cover subjects you've studied in your graduation basically . Then, in the second year, you choose a major and minor based on your interest field, such as marketing, finance, operation, consulting , economics and organization behaviour. These are mostly common subjects opted for by students, based on the faculty. Generally, you have teachers who mostly teach you in FMS , so you follow the curriculum accordingly.

FMS Delhi - Admissions, College life, and Placements.

Fee Structure- the low fees allows a lot of us with high opportunity costs to pursue an MBA. Further, it also allows us to follow our dream domain without having to worry about repaying a heft loan amount.
Location- Being located in the heart of the Capital city, we get access to a lot of resources and opportunities such as live projects etc.

Semester System- Since the other Bschools globally follow a trimester system, we cant take up a term abroad. however, summer schools are always an option.
Fresher Cohort- the admission criteria has no weightage to work experience, making the batch majorly freshers.

Course curriculum is comparable to other top business schools with more or less similar modules. First year has less rigidity in terms of subject choices and specialisation, however, one can choose subjects in the second year in form of electives to focus on a particular domain. Each section has 80 students and the professors usually follow the case method of teaching where in they share a case to be refered prior to sitting for the said lecture. The faculty is one of the finest with many of them being ex IIM professors. A major difference between FMS and other B schools is that it follows a semester system instead of a trimester system. Exams are conducted timely in November and March. Assessments are a mix of internals consisting of Quizzes, Assignments, Class Participation and externals.

Top notch faculty, some of the best professors in the whole country.
Great location, North Campus in Delhi offers great off-campus spots to have fun and also connectivity.

Lack of some sports facilities like playground.

The Full-Time MBA programme at FMS Delhi is one of the most prestigious courses in the country and the alumni network is a testament to that. The faculty to student ratio is really good considering the small batch size and also the fact that the institution has employed 10+ new faculty members in the year 2022. A semester system is followed here instead of tri-mester, which is followed at most other top B-Schools, and that makes it relatively more relaxed in terms of examination frequency. The difficulty level of the exams is decently high overall, and it's not that hard to pass.

Dreams from FMS DELHI

summer placements are almost 100% except for those who have signed out willingle. the process got completed even vefore the arrival of lesser low stipend companies. The course and placement are excellent and it is a government funded university.
the college has small building but being in the centre of delhi allow us to access to world-class infrastructure for all activites.

Fms has a 90% attendance policy. If anyone is below that they are not allowed to sit in summer internshio and final placement process.
The fees structure as well as infrastructure of the college is under rated in comparison to other famous college.

I choose this course at this university because this uni is highly rated for MBA in India with a top position. The faculty is humble in nature with enormous skills to support their scholars whereas the ratio of student-faculty is approximately 1:15. Besides this, the staff members have gained advanced knowledge with experience and demonstrate most of the topic with modern equipment. Exams are held on a timely basis as well as sharp to pass a student need to study hard to pass their test.

I choose this course as it provides me with a good acumen of business and helps me learn a lot about real-life business case studies. The faculty-to-student ratio is almost 1:8 which is a good number. Also, the teachers are very good in terms of their way of teaching and experience. most of the faculty hold Ph.D. degrees and have deep knowledge about their subjects. Exams are held on a timely basis and some subjects are somewhat difficult to study but interesting.
