As CSE is a demanding course and my interest in programming made me opt for CSE. faculty: student ratio is good and it is around 62. Qualification of the faculty is good. A little bit difficult to pass the semester-end exam
We have internals after every 3 to 4 weeks of portions completion and we have two semester exam for a year. Few subjects were difficult to pass but teachers made it much more efficiently to pass those subjects. Faculties are very good in SJCIT.
My passion for computers and new technologies made me take this course. Each and every department here employs nearly 50 people including working and non-working staff. Faculty are experienced although we have some freshly joined faculties. The teaching methodology will be adequate enough to make you pass through your semester exams. But still, as BTech will never give you a spoon-feeding experience as like lower classes one has to prepare himself for the industry. There are 3 terms per semester and there will be a 1&1/2 month gap between term 1 &term 2. whereas term 3 will be conducted with a gap of 1 week after term 2. I would not tell you that the terms would be too much difficult that you're gonna fail in them. One who's not attending regular classes can also manage to pass if he studies one night before the test. But the most important thing that one has to remember is the attendance of 85% is a must for giving semester exams though we don't maintain it's secondary.
CSE is always my field. From my childhood, I have always been a computer guy. Hence I ended up taking what I love the most. That's the main reason I opted on this course. There is a very good amount of faculty available for the students. The ratio is about 1:50. All faculties are very versed in what they teach. There are some loose ends, but there are very good lecturers who can help you anytime. Internals come in monthly. Difficulty depends on how you take the subject. I will frame it as challenging.
I choose this course because CSE had a great scope in engineering than the other courses. Actually I am interested in BSc Agriculture but I didn't get ranking in the exam to admit. There may be 500 students in 1st year of engineering and facilities maybe 50. The qualifications of teaching staff are BSc, BTECH, BE, MTECH, MSc. And the faculty may be any degrees. They conduct 3 assignment tests. Two assignment tests for 50 marks and the final assignment is for 100 marks and the aggregate of these marks is the final internal marks which are reduced to 40 marks. The final semester exam is for 100 which is reduced to 60 (external). Total marks is for 100 marks. The exams are moderately medium difficulty level.
*great learning abilities *well facilated labs *great teaching staff *heavy assignments *library is a good place to read *canteen is fully hygieneic *lecturers with good ability to teach and understand students
The fee of the course is dependent on the CET(Common Entrance Test) ranking. If one gets a good ranking, the fee for the student is lower than the student gets more ranking in CET. Apart from that if the student elects to stay in a hostel then the extra fee to be paid as a Hostel fee.
My course BE(CSE) was updated last when I joined in 2018.I am a second year student so don't have much industrial exposure but still its there are several workshops etc which gives you slight exposure to industries.Faculties are very good with their subjects they handle( especially Anitha Mam Hod(CSE)) Also there are many teachers to mention Who are cell versed with their subject.
The course scheme and syllabus are changed for our batch but it is not upto the industrial requirement.still they didn't took us for industrial visit may be they will take in further semester. The faculty here are very kind and they always keep helping the students in all aspects,I don't want to mention particular faculty because all are down to earth.
It is actually feasible compared to the other colleges the cet fees is same for all the colleges and we pay nearly 25k as college fees and we should pay exam fees for every semester separately the bus fees is also very cheap.
