Stage 1: Candidates are shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI) based on their valid CAT scores, the cutoff for the same is tabulated below:

It provides, real time experience to students by giving them internship opportunities, Also they solve various case studies, in-class room. Which helps to enhance capacity of students. They took classes on time.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum involves all the courses, be it managerial technical, which will be required by management candidates once they join the industry. The reason why I chose this course is because I was aligned towards supply chain management, and this was the best institute for Supply Chain management in the country. The curriculum has a Trimester system with 3 Modules each year. The Curriculum provides a case-based study, which is quite helpful in getting knowledge about industrial problems and how to overcome these problems or how to find these solutions. Although the Curriculum is quite comprehensive, sometimes it feels like it is quite lengthy having 12 subjects in a module. The teaching methodology involves equal weightage to class participation. The exams are moderately difficult, but exams have too many subjects, which must be reduced to decrease the burden on students

Among these, NITIE Mumbai is the best institute for an MBA. It is considered the Mecca of Operations and SCM. The Ops and SCM job profiles offered at NITIE Mumbai placements are even better than the ones offered from these sectors at IIM ABCL. The final placement record for 2022 showed the average CTC is INR 24.51 LPA. Highest CTC offered this year was INR 49 LPA.
Locational benefits, a huge alumni base, and a stellar placement record are some of the other factors that work in favor of NITIE.
Which is best among NITIE Mumbai, SIBM Pune, and IIM Rohtak for MBA?
In terms of placement, NITIE is the best followed by SIBM Pune, and finally IIM Rohtak. In terms of brand value, IIM Rohtak comes first, followed by NITIE and then SIBM.
Depending on whether you want the IIM tag, you should attend NITIE, SIBM Pune, or IIM Rohtak for Operations. NITIE has a firm grasp on operations and is well-known for it. Furthermore, the Mumbai location is advantageous. If you want to pursue a career in marketing, SIBM Pune should be your first choice.
IIM Rohtak will be considered after these two colleges because it is a relatively new brand that, like the other IIMs, will take time to establish itself.
What are the chances of getting into NITIE for an MBA with a decent score in the CAT? My 10th, 12th and undergrads are 85.12, 61.5, and 60%.
You have not specified your category and gender and confirming that bit may be tough. Following are some certain things you should need to know.
- These parameters are as important as the CAT score for Indian B-schools, if not more.
- For the worst-case scenario, I will assume you are a GEM (General Engineer Male), and answer according to the historical trends.
- For PGDIM, by a decent score, you should mean 98.5 percentile with 92+ percentile in every section.
- But mind you, you will have a hard time getting shortlisted for good companies during summers and final placements owing to your academics and it's the comparison with the rest of the batch.
- The closing percentile for round 1 in the general category is 90 percentile.
- For PGDISEM, by a decent score, you should mean 95.5+ percentile with 90+ percentile in every section.
- Because of lesser competition in PGDISEM, you can have a fair chance of getting shortlisted in good companies for summers and final placements.
- The closing percentile for round 1 in the general category is 90 percentile.
Apart from the decent scores, you will need to perform exceedingly well in GD and PI to secure admission at NITIE.
What are the MBA fees in NITIE Mumbai?
I have a few friends who graduated recently from NITIE, so I think I can give you some information regarding the fee structure of the institute.
- There are two modes of entry in NITIE, i.e. GATE (PGDIE/MM/PM) and CAT (PGDIM/ISM).
- The Fee structure is different for GATE and CAT qualifying applicants.
- GATE qualifying candidates are charged around INR 12.5 LPA for the MBA program while CAT qualifying applicants are charged nearly INR 14.5 LPA.
Although the fees I have mentioned are solely meant for Tuition Fees, this doesn't include mess fees which you need to pay separately.
Does an industrial engineer have any advantage when applying for an MBA at NITIE?
NITIE Mumbai is the brand name for engineers targeting management courses in India. The institute offers various industrial management courses for students.
I have a friend studying PGDIM in NITIE Mumbai, and as per his insights, you do not get any advantage of being an Industrial Engineer in NITIE Mumbai, if you are focusing on PGDIM or PGDISEM. As it offers you an Industrial Management degree, having an Industrial Engineering does add anything to your profile. However, you may get an edge over other students if targeting M. Tech through the GATE exam.
Overall, in MBA from NITIE, an industrial engineer is on the same platform as other candidates.
