The course includes theory and also the practicals that are very helpful. The course also privodes 3internships (social, academic and industrial) in 4years and a project in thelast year. I think these arevery helpful in a student life.
I chose Electrical engineering as my Branch as I was always inclined towards the electrical field. The faculty & student ratio was 12:30. The faculty was completely qualified with Master and Bachelor degrees in their concerned department. The teaching method is very convincing with detailed classroom teaching. The term exams were conducted on time with easy question papers if well prepared by the students. I never found it difficult to pass my papers as I was always well prepared.
I chose B Tech Electrical engineering in JEC as its placement is very good in Assam and its electrical department is one of the best in Assam. Teachers have also the basic to core knowledge of their subjects and they communicate in a very easy way so there should not be any doubt while attending their lectures. There is a total of 4 examinations in 6 months, 3 CIE(internal exams), and an end sem examination taken by ASTU.
I choose Electrical Engineering as my major course because my interest in Electrical and electronics things is quite more than others, after passing my 12th I opt for Engineering and especially for Electrical because I like the course and Want to do something better in the field of electrical engineering. Our faculty is well educated which contains highly qualified professors. Our department consists of 60 students. Many of our faculty qualified from IIT. Our exams are conducted in semesters which consists of three sessional exams and one final end term exam. As talking about difficulty level yes its quite difficult but this doesn't mean that it's very hard to pass, everything depends upon the knowledge that we acquire in the overall six months of each semester
