I was passionate to become a doctor. So I wrote Neet and entered this profession. Classes are conducted in accordance with the CBME curriculum we are divided into half and classes are said equally to both batches. The faculty is the one who teaches and treat the patients, in this, both theory and practice are said with perfection. Exams are conducted on a monthly basis and small drop discussions are held. paper is moderate, an average student can come across it.

OMC one of the best medical college with geat cilinical exposure.

Likes

Top notch faculty who are very experienced in their fields.
Facilities like library, wifi, reading rooms,are wonderful
And there are various clubs like music, dance, sports courtsetc.

Obviously I chose mbbs to become a Doctor. I. Osmania faculty is very good. And there are minimum 1:5 faculty to student ratio. There are 2 internals and 1 pre finals before writing the finals. Thery are pretty hard and the practicals are taught very well.

I like the professors as their teaching is phenomenal.
Library here is very vast and with very good stuff.
The campus also consists of leisure halls.

The campus building is little bit older but it is being renovated
As there is no period for general activities
Canteen here is good but it has very few sitting arrangements

The Other facilities like games, library and Sports Ground, journals and many other extra curricular activities are there in the college
The infrastructure and the network we can bulid with our teachers and the students in a group will be very helpful to us in future
The college have great experienced and expertise teacher to study and get good marks in the course iam studying.

The college hostel facility is not good

Placement Experience:

The Placements in our college are not as good as other colleges, The companies visit the college and interview each student. And students should pass the interview to get a placement in their company. The company are Google, IT companies, and make a no. Of offers and select very less students in their company. The Percentage of students getting placements is 40% to 60%. My plan is to work on my skills because skills are more important than a Degree.

Pros

The college has produced highly successful doctors who are currently working in top positions in reputed hospitals like the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and AIIMS New Delhi.
Osmania has around 10 attached hospitals. So, the patient flow is huge and diverse. There is a hospital for every subject you study in the Final year.
OSMECON and College Fest are the 2 major events of this college that help students explore their interests apart from medicine.
Osmania has some very amazing professors. One such Physiology professor established the Electrophysiology lab, the first such lab in the entire state.
Internships in Osmania General Hospital are a very rare experience because if you can take care of patients in the most resource-scarce hospitals such as Osmania, you can help patients anywhere on the globe.

Cons

Osmania lacks funding to a great extent so is behind research work in comparison to other medical colleges.
The old building of Osmania General Hospital is in ruins.
No national and international conferences, seminars, or meetings are held to improve its global image.
The hostel facilities are pathetic and the mess food is not edible.
The campus area has been reduced due to Metro rail expansion.
