The college provides a compulsory 1-year internship in its own sion hospital which is attached to ltmmc college. Patient output is great because of the Dharavi slum area. But the stipend is approximately 11000 which is low as compared to other states.
So in internships of one year, we have small months divided in which we have to work in different OPD like dermatology, gynecology, Opthalmology, etc. I m from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College student which is popular for its internship because the patient load is huge here.
Internship is very hectic, there is Neet PG exam which one needs to clear before entering into the filed of super speciality. Many rank holders have passed out from college. Definitely college plays some part in their success apart from the intense hard work they did.
Placement chances are very high. As the demand of the doctors is very high in the country it's not difficult for a doctor graduating from such a reputed college to get a job. There is one year compulsory internship at the end of 4.5 years Stipend for the same 11,000 rupees
Job opportunity is after getting MBBS degree i.e after 5.5 years in government and can also further study more i.e PG post graduate for NEET PG is there for getting admission for PG in Medical Colleges Stipend is given in internship and is least Maharashtra in comparison to other states
Internship is provided for one year. Experience is yet to be gained. But I have heard it's pretty awesome and tiresome. Monthly stipend is Rs 6000 only. After completing Internship we have to serve one year our services in rural areas that areas gives us lots og of platform to explore our skills.
Internship is yet to be started...internship is done after completing 4.5 year of course followed by 1 year of internship...which is later follower by 1 year of MO ship(medical officer)
There is a compulsory 1 year internship which you have to complete. The stipend is still 6000 rs only but expected to increase shortly. Internship in Sion is considered to be the toughest because the patient load is huge but the best part is you can master your skills here.
My internship will be beginning in few days so I can't give detailed review but they say that internship at Sion is the toughest and the one where least no of people get further admission into PG courses stipend is around Rs 7,000.
Unforgettable experience. Stipend was Rs5000 per month.Nice campus. Good stipend sufficient for one month expenditures. No student need more amount for monthly expenditure. They need money for movies , books and tutions. College fee is very low.
