Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed the qualification of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course / B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Candidates should be registered with the State Nursing Council for Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course (applicable to male candidates), with NUID number.
Candidates should possess a minimum of one year of clinical experience as a staff nurse preferably in the concerned clinical speciality in the hospital prior to enrollment.
A male nurse trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas: OT Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, TB Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, Orthopedic Nursing.
Candidates shall be medically fit
Nurses from other countries must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Indian Nursing Council before admission.
