Insects come in a lot along with snakes Only 1 table 1 chair and a wardrobe is given with a really small bed and 2 people sharing room which is really difficult for a medical student. I am staying outside in a pg. the college has excellent infrastructure for hostel facilities. independent men's and women's hostels with the mess. Facilities like a TV room, sports room, gym, play area etc are provided. Well furnished and has all required amenities. 24-hour security available.
Hostel is one of the best anyone can ask, its more than a home from home. with everyone supporting each other and living as a family. The mess food is one of the best any one can ask, its as good as a 5 star hotel with prices as much as a road side hotel

I am an MBBS student at CMC Vellore, and live in the hostel. All the MBBS male students at CMC share a common hostel. Each student forms a close bond with each and every one in the hostel.

The CMC Vellore hostels are the best place to have fun and make lots of memories while learning medicine at one of the premium medical institutes in the country.
The girls' hostel at Christian Medical College in Vellore, India is well-regarded for its cleanliness and safety. Girls have their own governing body and a very friendly and secure atmosphere. The girls are free to do whatever they want and minimal restrictions are imposed upon them, unlike other medical colleges across the country. Usually, they are expected to return to the hostel by 12.
The hostel facilities are top notch including a gym, library, study room, common rooms, beautiful gardens, chapel, and many more. The first-year students are allotted 3–4 seater rooms so that they don't feel lonely or homesick initially. Once they adapt well to the environment, the girls are provided single rooms from the second year.
Overall, the girls' hostel facility at CMC Vellore is great with minimal restrictions and great experiences.
