- I liked the supportive learning environment at my university.
- Dislikes:
- One of the things I disliked was the curriculum of the courses, it was pretty basic and easy, did not really add a lot of value to my knowledge.
Overview:
I chose to come to Canada primarily because of the fact that my family was moving here. I chose to study at York University due to its Goodwill and name in the market. My overall experience was a little below my expectations as the course did not really add to my current knowledge base.
- Likes:
- What I like about York University is that it has a great faculty and an amazing infrastructure. The university is so big it took me a whole week to navigate. I have seen multiculturalism here. I totally got all the feels of Canada.
- Dislikes:
- But there is one thing I dislike the most and that is no extracurricular activities for students of the school of continuing studies building at least I haven't been part of any till yet. They are just restricted to teaching but then I see so many events happening in other buildings, and honestly, students of this building feel left out.
Overview:
I have been dreaming of studying in Canada since class 10 in 2017. But Covid happened so I couldn't leave. When I was in college in India I really loved the subject of Human Resources Management and I decided to study it in canada as well and then decided York University for the same. York University has amazing rankings for faculty and teaching norms. Also, I wanted to go to a University and see how it feels to study in a university. Also, HRM is considered one of the best courses offered by York. I have made friends here and I am currently loving my student life at York, but it definitely gets boring because there are no extracurricular activities for us.

- Good program and under budget plus good location easy to travel since subway at the university to ise plus bus standes and housing is also good plus food,
- I like my colleges infrastructure and how is it was to travel around Toronto due to travel facilities around campus. Also the food available there is very good since there are alot of options and it is cost effective. Also walmart is very for buying groceries and online groups for finding housing is very helpful there.
- Dislikes:
- Nothing everything is good except from snow that can be very handful and not good. Try layering and keep a helathy diet. Plus carry multi vote with you since you don’t get many sunlight during winters and it gets night around 4:30 pm also there is take care of your food since there is chances you can loose wait there due to walking in classes.
Overview:
My college experience was very good and i made food friends and had a very good experience and had fun got a lot to learn . Plus the environment good in summers but in winter do layering plus have a daily schedule planned out on the basics of classes and the rest would be very good

- It had the course I wanted to do and I wanted to transfer from my existing University of Waterloo. University of Waterloo is very hard.,
- I really liked the exposure I got being a student in one of the most esteemed and diverse university in Canada. I learned a lot about different cultures, nationalities, and society in general. Academically stimulating discussions and work opportunities kept us on our toes. I improved my communication skills and learned a lot about my subject of choice. Leaning to live alone and be comfortable with yourself is the key to mental peace. Giving time to our mental health and exercise was preached by every uni counselor and senior.
- Dislikes:
- I hated that the academic stress got too much and we let it interfere with our peace. I also hated the extreme competitiveness of the all the international students. I disliked the gap in communication and underlying discrimination caused by our Indian accents. Even other Indian students are rude to you, if you are not up to date with the slang, or the local culture. We have to put in a lot of effort to fit in, which causes a lot of stress.
Overview:
The overall experience at the University of Waterloo was not very good. I got academically burdened and faced a lot of obstacles in finishing my degree, which led me to transfer to York University. It could have been a much better experience if I knew how much academic stress I was going to face. There is a huge difference between studying in a college in India and studying in a University in Canada. Social life plays a very important role in keeping your sanity and not feeling homesick. International students must know how to manage their finances, cook good food and be regular at exercising and gym. Keeping a strong balance between work and study is essential too. More than anything else university in Canada taught me a lot about being independent and living a healthy adult life.
Scholarship:
Yes, I received $2000 scholarship for the first two semesters.
Overview:
I chose this university because of the location of the institute, the course, and the business school. Overall experience is good. Infrastructure is good. Campus is good. Cheap food options. But jobs are not available neither part time nor full time. That's a little disappointing. Apart from that professors are excellent and are very helpful.
Scholarship:
I have not received any scholarship.
Overview:
I had to submit an online SOP before the arrival of the offer letter. The main point of SOP is to be true to what you want and emphasize your skills and curiosity to learn. Additionally, u would just need a transcript certificate from your previous college My university experience was great as I got to learn many new things and get a chance to interact with people from all over the world.
Scholarship:
No I didn’t got any scholarship

- It was very close to me and not much of a commute. The program itself was very easy and offered a lot of scopes.
Scholarship:
I got an entrance scholarship worth $2.5k which can be renewed for the next 3 years I’m at university but only if I maintain my grades.

- MBA was a stepping stone to my career to pivot into strategy sector and Schulich has been a school famous for strategy consulting sector,
- The brand name associated with the school is something i love about. The school has some amazing courses taught by industry leaders from different countries. These professors have over 15-20 years of industry wide experience before they set their foot in teaching
- Dislikes:
- The school is academically rigorous which sometimes is good however might be a burden for students applying for Fulltime/ Part time jobs. The University is a little away from downtown region of Toronto where most of the companies are located
Overview:
Overall I would say it was a life changing experience when it comes to Schulich School of Business, York University. The staff is welcoming and never I felt I was in a different country because of the people around.
Scholarship:
10K CAD is the entrance scholarship I got.

- Its reputed business school in Canada. Also, the location in Toronto which is financial city of Canada.,
- Curriculum and team work in assignments was good part of the master program. Built good relations while doing team work in projects. This program also holds monthly industry sessions, which help students to gain knowledge about various fields in finance.
- Dislikes:
- Not much diversity as lot of students are Chinese in class. Its hard to socialize with them. Also, university doesn't help you to get placed in company after completion of course. For international students, it's really competitive to get the job after Masters.
Overview:
Overall, it was an interesting experience due to new culture, new friends. On the academic front, I learned a-lot through case studies, projects, group assignments. I feel program length should be more than 12 months as it becomes very hectic for international students to manage all the workload.
Overview:
Overall it was a great experience, I learned a lot about my self. The level of teaching and academics was good and it is not very intimidating.
Scholarship:
York U entrance scholarship.
