SRMIST used SRMJEEE 2026 for BTech admission to its Kattankulathur campus. Applicants needed at least 60% across the specified Class 12 subjects. The exam ran in three phases, followed by online counselling. SRMIST has not set its 2027 BTech dates, so the 2026 calendar is the latest planning reference.
The common SRMJEEE form also covered other SRM campuses and separate SRM universities. Campus and branch were chosen during counselling. BCA and MBA followed different processes.
SRMIST Admission Dates 2026-27
SRMJEEE ran in three phases in 2026. Phase I was revised to 24-29 April; the dates below include that change.

The 2026 phases suggest April to July 2027 as a tentative SRMJEEE testing period. SRMIST has not confirmed the number or dates of 2027 phases. Its MBA entrance exam, SRMJEEM, followed separate 2026 deadlines.
SRMIST BTech Eligibility at Kattankulathur
BTech applicants in 2026 needed 60% in Physics, Mathematics and an accepted third subject. Options included Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, and Botany and Zoology. Students awaiting Class 12 results could apply.
Some BTech specialisations add subject conditions. The 2026 requirements do not confirm the accepted subjects or passing years for a 2027 applicant.
SRMJEEE 2026 and BTech Counselling
SRMJEEE 2026 was an online test taken on a desktop or laptop under remote supervision. Applicants booked a slot and downloaded their hall ticket. Each phase required a separate form and ₹1,400 fee. JEE Main and SAT options applied to international admission.
After the result, students chose a campus and branch in online counselling. SRMIST allotted seats by rank and vacancies. In the 2026 Phase I Round II process, Kattankulathur students paid ₹1,10,000 after accepting an allotment: ₹10,000 registration and ₹1,00,000 toward tuition. Missing the 8 June counselling-payment deadline cancelled the allotment. The remaining tuition was due by 15 June.

BCA followed the Science and Humanities process. MBA used its own entrance and interview requirements. Neither followed the BTech SRMJEEE counselling process.
How to Apply and Confirm a Seat
- Select BTech, Science and Humanities UG, or MBA in the SRMIST admissions portal. Check that Kattankulathur is available for the chosen programme.
- Register with an email ID, enter academic details, upload the required photograph and signature, and pay the application fee for that form.
- For BTech, book the SRMJEEE slot, take the test and check the counselling notice. Choose the actual campus and branch preferences in counselling.
- If SRMIST allots a seat, check the fee and payment date in the allotment account. Complete payment and document verification as instructed.
In 2026, the Science and Humanities UG application fee was ₹1,200. Selected applicants had to meet the final academic requirements and pay by the offer deadline.
