The UNT Department of Philosophy and Religion is the home of the nation's leading Doctoral Program in environmental philosophy and the nation's first Master's Program in the field. The areas of specialization among the faculty include environmental justice, philosophy of ecology, environmental policy, religion and nature, philosophy of science and technology, philosophy of water, philosophy of food, philosophy of energy, eco-phenomenology, and eco-feminism and many more. The University provide students with a solid background in the history of philosophy, epistemology, logic, metaphysics, ethical theory, and other subjects.
