- UNT is student based university where you get more than what you ever think you need. I hadn't expected that you ask and university already has that.
- I would definitely recommend Indians to come learn here in the environment you feel inclusive at. You will for sure learn all aspects of life from living alone independently to knowing diverse students and kind staff.
- Encouraging work environment and you can get an on campus job via handshake. You should be goal oriented and adaptable to changes. YES it is COMPETITIVE but is isn't impossible. It is all worth it.
Dislikes
- I dislike how Indian students around the campus move without smiling at anyone, as the culture here is to be friendly and give smile at strangers.
- Too many Indian students, especially from Telangana and AP.
- Fees is huge, but comparatively less to surrounding universities.
Campus Life
- Mainly three campuses-
- Main is Denton- all business courses classes are here
- Frisco mostly undergrad class are here (new campus established 2023 Jan)
- Discovery park (buses available from Denton campus) (20mins from Denton) Computer and Engineering classes
- All three has all facilities- Library, The Maker Space, cafes
- Events such as solar eclipses day, football matches, halloween, diwali, holi everything is celebrated here and you will love it
Accommodation
- Off campus accommodation is best and cheap, you will learn so much living with roommates and cook by yourself make friends. it is not very expense too, you can live for 300-400$ rent.
- Challenges are in winters there are too many cockroaches at all accommodations near the campus so you just have to be careful, and it is very cold in January month get your jackets
- The whole area is equipped with UNT BUS FACILITY so you can either walk or get on bus.

- University of North Texas has stood number 1 in five consecutive years for the best college food. The food offered in the university is hygenic and precautions are taken into consideration for students' preferences.
- The university is huge and one needs to take either bus or cycle to move from one corner to another. The space offered to students for extracurricular activities is notable.
- The university hosts multiple organizations every year to be a part of. The events are all free for the students and students get a chance to socialize at a global level.
Dislikes
- The university is open to anyone and everyone. Hence, it doesn't have a secured access only for the students and employers of the university. Security might be one thing to consider while being on campus.
- Thefts of e-vehicles and valuables around campus is a regular concern. One should take care of their belongings while on-campus.
- Accommodation around the university is a major issue. The rent is higher than average, and students living off-campus have to consider living far from university.
Campus Life
- The University of North Texas (UNT) has multiple campuses, including the main campus in Denton, UNT at Frisco, UNT Health Science Centre in Fort Worth, and UNT New College at Frisco. Facilities across these campuses include libraries such as the Willis Library in Denton, with extensive collections and study spaces, and digital resources at UNT Frisco.
- Sports facilities include the Pohl Recreation Centre in Denton, with a gym, swimming pools, climbing walls, and outdoor fields for various sports. Medical services, counselling, and wellness programs are available, along with dining options and residence halls.
- UNT hosts major festivals like University Day, the Denton Arts & Jazz Festival, and Mean Green sporting events, with over 450 student organisations supporting interests in arts, culture, academics, and recreation. Extracurricular activities include sports, cultural events, concerts, and community service initiatives, fostering a vibrant campus life.
Accommodation
- The accommodation is easy to find in Denton. There are many options available in and across campus. I chose off-campus accommodation. I used various accommodation websites to find my accommodation. It was not at all challenging for me.
- For future students, I would recommend starting to search for accommodation as a priority, as the accommodation fills up fast in Denton. My accommodation is close to college and there are free bus services all across Denton City.

- I applied to many different schools both in state and out of state but North Texas really caught my eye because I loved the campus, although it’s simple I loved it
Campus Life
The WiFi is average the facilities are nice and clean. Clubs are kind of boring.
Accommodation
Dorms are extremely disappointing for the price point they’re advertised as. Heater almost never worked.

- The University of North Texas (UNT) is a place that truly resonates with me, and as a computer science major, I have discovered numerous aspects of the university that I deeply appreciate. First and foremost, the knowledgeable and enthusiastic faculty members have left an indelible impact on my educational journey. Their passion for teaching and their expertise in their respective fields create an engaging and inspiring learning environment. Their guidance has not only helped me grasp complex concepts but has also motivated me to delve deeper into the world of computer science.
- UNT's well-stocked libraries and computer labs have proven to be invaluable resources for me. The libraries offer a vast array of research materials and study spaces, allowing me to immerse myself in my studies and explore various facets of computer science. The computer labs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, providing an optimal environment for practical applications and coding experiments. However, what truly captivates me is the game development lab. It offers a unique opportunity for computer science students like me to delve into the world of game design, fostering creativity and technical skills.
- The university's Olympic-grade gym, complete with full-time coaches, has been a delightful surprise. Being able to access such top-notch facilities and receive expert guidance free of cost is a remarkable benefit. Furthermore, the climbing wall caters to my passion for adventure and offers an exhilarating way to stay physically active.

- While there are many aspects of the University of North Texas (UNT) that I greatly appreciate, it is important to acknowledge that no institution is without its flaws. Here are a few points that I personally find less favorable about UNT.
- One area of concern is the parking situation on campus. Finding a parking spot can be quite challenging, especially during peak hours. This can lead to frustration and wasted time as students, faculty, and staff search for available parking spaces. Additionally, the cost of parking permits and fines for violations can be a burden on students' finances.
- Another aspect that some students may find disappointing is the limited availability of certain courses or class sections. Due to high demand and limited resources, it can be challenging to enroll in specific classes, causing delays in degree progression and hindering students' ability to pursue their desired academic path.
Campus Life
Campus life: Perfect mix of a serious education and a party school Clubs: You have clubs for anything that is in your mind, from a debaters to the cricketers everything, to hackers you will have a lot of fun. Wifi: The WIFI connectivity is available all over the campus. You will never have a slow or a choppy connection anywhere in the campus. You are also provided with a Mobile phone connection from the college which is very cheap and still workable. Not very good but for 15$ per month you get a 5 GB cellular data with unlimited calls local and international. I have been using this for 4 months now and has not bothered me at all. You can get better cell phone connections for 35 40$ per month, but in my case I am very satisfied. Sport Facility: UNT is very famous for its football, basket ball and baseball teams. The gym has olympic grade equipment and a very large indoor running track, swimming pool and playing area. There are many common areas in every campus where you will have pool and pingpong tables. The University also has a gaming area where you will find all the available consoles and latest games, and gaming PCs which can be used by anyone free of cost. Students come and play games for as long as they want.
Accommodation
I am living in a fairly expensive accommodation which costs around $400+ per month and $ 50 for utilities with facilities like gym, swimming pool, washer dryer, including 2 Bed 2 Bath, living in an unshared room. But Students can manage their accommodation expenses under 180$ with multiple sharing room mates. Groceries and other expenses which is generally same for all is around 150$. So a monthly expense of 600$ a month can get you a very comfortable stay in Denton Texas.
Accommodation
I live in apartment with friends, other than the on campus rooms.
Because it is the good university with good degree structure and comparatively less fees.
Accommodation
The infrastructure, facilities, and cost depend on the individual who wants to spend but generally, the expenses are USD 600 to 700 for the month.
Its course work and research work is perfect. University and leaving expense around the university is less expensive.
