University of North Texas Education Programs

The University of North Texas has been an innovator in preparing educators since being established in 1890 as a teacher’s college. Today, the College of Education continues this tradition by developing professionals who help others reach their full potential through powerful learning, social-emotional wellness, physical health and civic engagement. The program path includes preparation in the Science of Teaching Reading, a new initiative in the State of Texas that prepares teachers to implement instruction in reading, especially with young learners.
