IIIT Trichy is one of the premier IIITs in India, well-known for offering its 4-year flagship program, BTech. The institute currently offers two main specializations in its BTech program namely, CSE and ECE. The total fee for the BTech program is INR 5.53 Lakhs, with a total intake of 150 seats. Admission to the BTech program at IIIT Trichy is strictly based on the cutoff scores of the JEE Main entrance examination followed by the JoSAA counselling process.
Apart from BTech, the institute also offers MTech at the PG level and PhD at the research and doctorate levels. - there are several aspects of college grounds that i found less than satisfactory they are uneven no proper maintanence no red soil they are just empty land with some bushes
- no running track no indoor courts sports activities are less campus is not completely constructed just phase1 is completed

I didnt applied to any colleges I got this college in CSAB special round 2 as my JEE rank is the cutoff rank for ECE in EWS category In AP Eamcet I got 5000 rank but I am not interested into any other private institutions I choose this college For this college admission process is EXAM to join this college is JEE MAINS There will be JOSAA AND CSAB counselling to join this college if you didn't get seat or you are not satisfied with the college you got in JOSAA you can go for CSAB but for CSAB in 2 nd round you need to either accept college or leave money you paid at registration which is around 40000 it is non refundable if you freeze college that money will be transferred to college fee.

Nit Suratkal is the one which I applied for and i got mechanical from Jossa. I didnt any rejections from the colleges i chose this college because of the branch and my parents dont like to stay far from them as our iiit college is 300km from Bangalore our parents selected this college. the admission process is simple because more things you have to do in the jossa only which means online only but it will be not too much to do in college regarding admission once you enter college

I applied to several colleges , including MIT Manipal , VIT vellore , Satyabhama University etc i even secured confirmed admission in VIT and satyabhama but after careful consideration i chose my current college that is IIIT TIRUCHIRAPALLI due to several important factors My current college offered curriculum that was more aligned with industry standards with a strong emphasis on practical training internships and projects and it was a National importance college with good reputation the faculty at my current college had both mix of academic and industry experts which was crucial for me this gave me confidence that i would receive a balanced education blending both theoretical knowledge and real world example even my college location played a crucial role as its situated in one of the main cities in india I got no rejections from any college The basic eligibility for admission to the college i applied for was 1.Completion of 12th grade and jee qualified with cutoff range

Which is the better option, Northeast NIT (Agartala) or IIIT Tiruchirappalli?
As a student of NIT Agartala, I will try to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of my college in relation to IIIT Trichy-
- Location- Location is the main factor in which NIT Agartala lags behind IIIT Trichy. Though Agartala has train, rail and air connectivity, it feels a bit disconnected from the other parts of the country.
- Courses Offered- NIT Agartala is quite old, and was originally established in 1965. It offers a number of B.Tech courses- Bio Engineering, Chemical, Civil, CSE, EE, ECE, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical and Production. On the other hand, IIIT Trichy offers B.Tech CSE and ECE only.
- Infrastructure- NIT Agartala has one of the best infrastructures among Indian engineering colleges. Its infrastructure is world-class. Some of its infrastructural elements are- a gym, an indoor stadium, five hostels, departmental buildings and the 2nd supercomputer of northeast.
- Placements- NITA is very old, so it offers a stronger alumni network and better placement opportunities. Some of the companies that recruit from NITA are- Google, NTPC, SapientNitro, Indian Oil, Cognizant, Tata, ITC Limited, Vedanta, HCL, among others. NITA offers good placements for core branches.
Overall, NIT Agartala is a superior engineering college. Apart from B.Tech, NITA offers integrated programs as well. These are- BS+MS in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry, and integrated M.Tech in Engineering Physics or Computational Mathematics.
