Placement Experience:
From third semester onwards companies keep recruiting for cadets. You have to maintain a decent percentage and remain all clear in your semesters to appear for college placements. Based on demands, cadets who remain all clear will get enough chances to sit for placements.

If you are all clear and have no backlogs then you can easily get placed in some good companies, the college provides. Companies starts visiting from 2nd Year itself so if you have a good aggregate then definitely you can get easily placed earlier. The placel. Almost everyone gets placed here in different companies like Chevron, MOL, Dynagas

Placement is definitely good lots of companies used to visit Campus and start to offer placement from third year only. Lady cadets gets upper hand in placement due the their excess demand in maritime industry. approx 90% cadets gets placed till 4th year

- The faculties of our campus is very good. They help cadets with their academic.

Placement Experience:
Our Placement of the college is best from all marine colleges and 85% of the cadets get placed. They got eligible from 2nd year and many companies start recruiting from 2nd year . The companies like wsm, pb, fleet and chevron which are best companies which more number of cadets. Mostly all the cadets of our college get the on campus placement. This is all due to our alumini network.

- The Gym and sports facilities is the place where we spend our most of the college life. The college has Gym and sports for each batch.

- The hostel mess food okay but sometimes its so bad !!

The placement record of college is very excellent and most of the students get placed on campus. The placement get started from 2nd year only and the company's start visiting the campus for recruitment. The company's like chevron, fleet management, Pacific basin visit and average package provided is about 70000-80000 per month. 90 to 95% of cadets get placed but those who didn't take placement get placement easily outside the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:
From childhood I have a dream to have uniform that is the main reason why I opt for merchant Navy and i also have a craving for machine so i have choosen engine department of the merchant Navy which is btech in marine engineering and i have choosen imu kolkata previously known as dmet as well as meri as it the best college for btech in marine engineering

- The college ambience and environment is very good.It is full of trees and so provides fresh atmosphere for studies
- The facilities are very experienced in their fields.Hence they provide original ideas and feedbacks which help us a lot
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is a bit old.The machineries available is outdated and hence the training seems outdated.
- The syllabus design is very poor.It is heavily loaded with stuffs which are not even necessary in our field.And it also overburdens each student with no value addition
Placement Experience:
The campus placements are excellent.World's most top companies visit our campus on a regular basis thanks to our excellent pass out network.Companies start coming from 2nd year itself and sometimes they come in the 1st year also.The employment rate is also quite high as you only require to be all clear in the semester exams and have a good personality, intelligence,basic technical know-how about the course and emotional strength.

The placement opportunity is amazing. And each cadet is ensured at least two chances for stting in interview for placement. The basic criteria for the same is that they must have no backlogs. The rest is handles by the placement cell as the best shipping companies come for recruitment.

Companies like chevron, NYK, wilhelmsen, fleet management, Scorpio, Torm, Wallem come to our college. Most of the cadets will be sailing after the course and some options for defense and civil service.
