This university appealed to me since it offers three different full-time alternatives for me to pick from. The college's alumina is particularly potent, which is helpful for job placement. The college is located in Pune, which has pleasant weather year-round. The admission process is all online and the selection was on the score you get in entrance exam.
I had completed my B.Arch and wanted to pursue post graduation from a well known college so as to enhance my career. NICMAR was the first option in my mind, so besides giving CAT and GMAT I gave NICMAR common entrance test exam. Placements and learning are very good. also it provides various PG options for B. Arch. students. As far as the admission process is concerned, Online application has to be filled on the official website along with required documents are uploaded and application fee of Rs. 2100 is paid per opted program. Print of all the documents and application form has to be sent to the Dean- Admissions on the given address. After attempting NICMAR entrance test, shortlisted candidates are called for Interview on the basis of application eligibility and scores obtained. Then evaluation is done on the basis of NCAT(180 marks), PI(50 marks) and rating of application(RA)(70 marks). If fulfilled all three criteria acceptance letter is received on email.
So, the reasons for which I took admission into this colleges are firstly it's recognition i.e. this college is recognised as Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation by DISR, Ministry of Science and Technology that comes under Govt. Of India. Also, our NICMAR offers training in specialized areas like real estate management, construction management, Infrastructure management and allied areas. Also, it has been granted by UNDP. Further, the placement rate to-date is 99.6% of the course I opted for. And the college fee is not so high as compared to other management colleges with so many facilities. So, these were the reasons but now I am going to mention the whole process of admission. So, first of all, I checked the eligibility criteria then I proceeded to fill the form and provided all the details asked there. Based on my score acquired in MAT exam, I got shortlisted and I was called for GD and PI rounds. I turned up for the selected procedure round and my performance was good. Later on, they saw my performance, previous academic record, score in management exam and then I got admission offer letter.
While studying B.Tech in Civil Engineering I came to know about NICMAR. I wanted to learn construction management and I found that NICMAR is one of the best universities India providing the facility of two year PGP in construction management. So I chose this university and applied for this course through online application. I got the admission based on the marks of my GMAT score along with the score of interview and Rating of application form.
NICMAR is firstly a non profit organisation who specializes in advanced learning and courses like PGP, ACM, IFDM and PEP It is also recognized as ?ÛÏScientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO)?Û by Dept. of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and also ranks as one of the top 20 schools for PGP coyurses and advanced learning. In order to study here, admissions are based on the NCAT entrance along with good academic performance and work experience if in order to make it to the final merit list. The method of applying is available online as well as offline, but the mode of payment has to be made online only. I was charged with Rs 2100.
NICMAR provides with an excellent combination of good college life of fun and also the exposure and knowledge needed for modern construction standards. It also has excellent placements for students with good placement of 92%
Among top institute in construction management in India. Good reputation in construction industry. Good placement record so far. All professor are industry experienced. The course Advance Construction Management is best course offered by institute.
I have a few friends who graduated from NICMAR. Their experience with the institute has not been that good. Here are some of the things that they complain about.
So, consider all these factors before you decide to pursue your PG from NICMAR.
