RIMT University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in various disciplines of Science. The university offers B.Sc. Honors, B.Sc. Regular, M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in addition to a five-year integrated program in Forensic Science, two UG programs and a PG program in Pharmacy (B. Pharm, D. Pharm. and PG Diploma), a Bachelor’s program in Fishery Science, a Bachelor in Physiotherapy program, and several 1-year, two-year and two and a half year Diploma programs.

The basic eligibility criterion for B.Sc. programs is a pass in Senior Secondary or equivalent exam with the concerned subject. Candidates for M.Sc. courses are required to have cleared B.Sc. degree in the relevant subject/ discipline.

Ph.D. candidates must hold a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in the relevant or allied discipline of science. Selection of UG and PG candidates is done on the basis of merit. Ph.D. candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the institute level selection test.  

The eligibility criteria for the other science courses vary from course to course. For instance, a pass in 10+2/ SSC is required for B.F.S., BPT, B. Pharm, D. Pharm and the integrated program in Forensic Science. For admission to the PG Diploma program in Pharmacy specializations, a B. Pharm degree is required. Diploma candidates, on the other hand, are admitted subject to completing SSC/ equivalent in science stream with PCM/ PCM as applicable.

Key Points for School of Science and Paramedic Admission:

• For admission to B.Sc. Forensic Science, the student must have studied medical/ non-medical at 10+2 level.
• For M.Sc. Forensic Science, candidates must have studied B.Sc. Chemistry (in absence of Forensic Science) at the undergraduate level.
• For admission to Ph.D. in Agriculture, a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in M.Sc. (Agronomy/ Horticulture/ Plant Protection) is a required.
• On those candidates who have studied the 10+2 level in science stream are eligible to apply for the Bachelor’s program in Medical Lab Technology (B.Sc. MLT)
• Candidates applying for Bachelors and Diploma in Physiotherapy must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects at the intermediate level.

RIMT University offers various engineering degree programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.

The institute currently offers B. Tech programs in six specializations, a five-year B. Arch program, M. Tech degree in five specializations, and Ph.D. programs in five departments of engineering.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the B. Tech programs is a pass in SSC/ 10+2/ any other equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks. B. Arch candidates could be from any discipline provided they have studied Mathematics and English at 10+2 level.

For admission to the M. Tech courses, a B. Tech degree in the relevant or allied discipline is required. Candidates are also required to meet the additional requirement of securing at least 50% aggregate marks in B. Tech.

Ph.D. candidates are admitted upon fulfilment of the required eligibility criteria, which is obtaining a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in M. Tech.

 Selection of candidates for the M. Tech courses is done on the basis of GATE score. Ph.D. candidates are selected though an institute level selection test. B. Tech candidates are admitted through LEET counseling only. Admission in B.Arch is done on the basis of NATA/JEE Main scores.

Key Points for School of Engineering Admission:

• Candidates with a three-year engineering Diploma are eligible to apply for the B. Tech program.
• Candidates with a three-year Diploma in Architectural Assistantship are eligible to pursue the B. Arch course.
• Architecture candidates will need to submit their CET score or (NATA/JEE Main) rank obtained in any other aptitude test in architecture conducted by a competent state authority.
• Candidates who have completed M.Sc. in the relevant science/ engineering discipline are eligible to seek admission in M. Tech.
• Reserved category candidates are allowed 5% relaxation in marks in the minimum marks eligibility criteria.
• Candidates from SC/ ST/ PH category must secure at least 55% marks in Masters in order to be eligible for the Ph.D. programs.
• The intake capacity for Ph.D. courses is dynamic and is disclosed only before the date on entrance exam. 

RIMT University offers various UG, PG, Ph.D. and Diploma courses in the field of Fashion and Fine Arts through its School of Fine Arts & Fashion Design. The institute offers B.Sc. Fashion Design, M.Sc. Fashion Design, Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Masters in Fine Arts (MFA), M.Phil. Fine Arts/ Fashion Design, and Ph.D. in Fine Arts/ Fashion Design in the degree segment. For Diploma aspirants, RIMTU offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Fashion Design (PGDFD) program, a Diploma in Fashion Design (DFD) program and a Diploma program in Art and Craft.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Sc. Fashion Design, BFA, and DFD programs is a pass in SSC/ equivalent exam. BFA candidates are further required to have secured at least 40% marks in the last qualifying exam. M.Sc. Fashion Design and PGDFD candidates need to be graduate, MBA candidates must have a BFA degree with any relevant specialization.

For admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs, post-graduation is required as the minimum qualification. Candidates applying for Diploma in Art & Craft must have successfully cleared Matric/ 10th standard exam. Selection of candidates for all programs except M.Phil. and Ph.D. is on the basis of merit. M.Phil. and Ph.D. candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in entrance test.

Key Points for School of Fine Arts and Fashion Technology Admission:

• Candidates who have passed the 10th std. exam and hold a two-year Diploma in Arts & Crafts/ Fashion Designing/ Interior Designing are eligible to apply for the BFA program.
• For Lateral Entry to the BFA program, candidates require a minimum qualification of SSC/ 10+2 with two-year Diploma in Art & Craft.

RIMT University offers BA (Honors), MA, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines of Social Science through its School of Social Sciences.

The basic eligibility for the BA (Hons.) program is a pass in Senior Secondary exam. MA candidates need to have completed Bachelor’s in the relevant Social Science specialization.

 For admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. program, having a post-graduate degree in the relevant specialization is compulsory. Selection of candidates for the BA (Hons.) and MA programs is done strictly on the basis of merit. M. Phil. and Ph.D. candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam.

• Candidates with 50% and above marks in the last qualifying exam are eligible for direct admission to BA Hons., MA and M.Phil. Programs.

RIMT University offers BA (Honors), MA, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in various language subjects through its School of Languages.

 The specializations offered under this school include English, Hindi and Punjabi languages. The basic eligibility for the BA (Hons.) program is a pass in Senior Secondary exam.

MA candidates need to have Bachelor’s degree in the relevant language discipline.

For admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. program, having a post-graduate degree in the relevant specialization is a must. Selection of candidates is done strictly on the basis of merit.

RIMT University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in the field of commerce under its School of Commerce.

The various courses offered by the school include B. Com., M. Com., Ph.D. in Commerce, and M. Phil. in Commerce.

The basic eligibility criteria for the B.Com. Program is a pass in senior secondary level exam with Commerce as a subject. M.Com. candidates must hold a B.Com degree in order to be eligible. Ph.D. and M.Phil. Candidates are required to have an M.Com. Degree as the minimum educational qualification. Selection of candidates for the B.Com. and M.Com. Programs is done on the basis of merit.

RIMT University – School of Education offers several courses in the field of Education. The courses offered by the school include two four-year integrated programs in B.Sc. Ed. and BA. Ed., a B.Ed. program, a MA program in Education, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in the same discipline.

The basic eligibility criteria for the integrated programs is a pass in Senior Secondary exam. B.Ed. candidates are required to have completed graduation in any discipline. For admission to the MA Ed. program, candidates who have completed the integrated courses are eligible.

 Ph.D. and M. Phil. candidates must hold a post-graduate degree in Education in order to be eligible. Selection of candidates for the B.Sc. Ed./ BA Ed. and MA Ed. programs is done on the basis of merit.

• Only Graduates (any discipline) with 50% aggregate marks are allowed to seek admission to the B.Ed. program.
• For Ph.D. Education, a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Master’s degree is a must.

RIMT University offers a variety of UG, PG, PG Diploma, and research level courses in the field of Computer Science/ Application through its School of Computer Application. The school currently offers B.Sc. CS, BCA, M.Sc. CS, MCA, PGDCA, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs to eligible candidates at the respective levels.

The basic eligibility criteria for B.Sc. CS and BCA programs is a pass in SSC/ equivalent exam. M.Sc. CS, MCA and PGDCA candidates must possess a Bachelor’s/ any other relevant or allied degree in the discipline of Computer Science/ Application.

For admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses, a PG degree is compulsory. Selection of candidates for BCA and MCA courses is done through LEET. B.Sc. CS, M.Sc. CS and PGDCA candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam. M.Phil. and Ph.D. candidates are selected through entrance test conducted by the institute.

Key Points for School of Computer Application Admission:

• For BCA Lateral Entry, candidates with Matric and three-year Diploma in any trade are eligible. Senior Secondary pass candidates With ITI certification are also eligible for Lateral Entry.
• MCA candidates must have completed Graduation with Mathematics/ Statistics/ OR/ QT. Mathematics at 10+2 level is also a requirement for admission to the MCA program.

RIMT University – School of Library Science offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses in the field of Library Science. The school currently offers 5 different programs which are D.Lib., B.Lib., M.Lib., M.Phil., and Ph.D., to candidates seeking admission to Library science courses at various levels.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the D.Lib. Program is a pass in SSC/ equivalent exam. For admission to B.Lib. , graduation in any discipline is a must. Only B.Lib. Candidates are eligible to apply for the M.Lib. Program, and for admission in M. Phil. and Ph.D., an M.Phil. Degree with 55% marks is required.

Selection of candidates for all courses, except M.Phil. and Ph.D. is done on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam. Ph.D. and M.Phil. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam.

Key Points for School of Library Science Admission:

• For admission to the B.Lib. Program, a minimum of 50% marks in graduation is required.
• For reserved category candidates, the minimum marks eligibility criteria for the applicable programs is relaxed by 5%.

RIMT University offers a five-year integrated program in law, LL.B., LL.M and a Ph.D. program in Law under its School of Legal Studies.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the integrated program (BA-LL.B.) is a pass in senior secondary exam. LL.B. candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline in order to be eligible.

The eligibility requirement for the LL.M. program is a LL.B. or BA-LL.B. degree. LL.M. candidates are eligible to pursue Ph.D. in the legal stream.

 Selection of candidates for all courses (except Ph.D.) offered under School of Legal Studies is on the basis of last qualifying exam marks. Ph.D. candidates are selected on the basis of entrance exam marks.

• Candidates with a 5-year B.Sc.-LL.B. degree from a recognized institute/ university are also eligible to apply for the LL.M. program.

RIMT University offers a variety of other additional courses through various schools which are School of Management, School of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, School of Journalism & Mass Communication and School of Animation & Multimedia, at the UG and PG level.

The courses include BA and MA in Journalism & Mass Communication, B.Sc. Hotel Management, BBA, MBA and B.Sc. in Animation & Multimedia.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the BA Journalism & MC, B.Sc. Hotel Management, BBA and B.Sc. Animation & Multimedia is a pass in the senior secondary level exam.

MA Journalism & MC and MBA candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline. Selection of candidates for all programs except MBA is done on the basis of merit. MBA candidates are selected on the basis of CET score.
