Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 ) conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or any equivalent examination from a recognised board/council.
The candidates MUST have been allotted a seat through counselling of PUBDET-2024 by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) and MUST have paid the requisite seat acceptance fees to WBJEEB.
There is no upper or lower age limit.
Candidate must pass any of the aforementioned examinations, with at least five recognized subjects (full marks of each not less than 100), including English language and excluding compulsory Environmental Science. The Aggregate Marks is to be calculated considering score in best four recognized subjects.
Candidates with International ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate qualifications must have at least three subjects at the IGCSE level and three subjects at the ‘A’ level, with English in either of the two levels.

The semester exams aadat modular difficulty level and I hope if would be great if we could get a little more gap before each semester exam

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure is very simple and the fees taken for the courses are very minimal refer it is very affordable and cheap, unlike the private colleges. I personally would suggest taking admission to government colleges since not only there are good colleges but they are also affordable for people who have money issues. There are swami Vivekananda merit cum scholarships available.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Our tution fee is very low and as it is Government funded college ,the funds are huge in number and our University uses it in the welfare of the students .Financial aids are available for PWD students. Statistics department and geology department provides job opportunities but I feel the University should also take initiatives for the other department 's placement cell

A dream college in West Bengal

Fees and Financial Aid:

This is a government university so the fees is not high. The fees is about Rs 4000 /annum for the course. There are scholarships available for students who couldn't afford it which you can apply for after getting admission. The cost to study is good enough as the quality of studies in the University is very good .

One of my close friends studied Sociology honors at Presidency University, Kolkata, and here's some facts she wanted to share, which might help you answer the question.

You should have secured 60 percentile in 12th or equivalent for applying in Sociology honors in Presidency University.
You need to appear for the Presidency University Bachelor's Degree Eligibility Test (PUBDET).
Sociology is a 100 marks paper - 90 marks from General Knowledge, Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning and 10 marks from English (Transformation, Voice, Collective Nouns, Phrasal Verbs, Idioms, etc).
All questions are multiple-choice questions and objective. Answers are to be given on the OMR sheet.
