library-if you want search any book you can find here most possibly
faculty- Although i am not suggesting the best faculty but yes they are very polite and guide you properly.
hostel- this university has the best hostel its like 5star hotel .

Dislikes

placement- i just want to share that this university placement cell is very poor .
politics- i mostly dislike about students politics even some of the teacher were involve .
Extra curriculum- we never face any tech fest, or like others activities.

Admission:

aliah university is a state goverment university and the fees structure is extremly affordable compared to others university. Althoug not a rankd among the top universties but aliah university has a growing academic reputation . admission process is very simple -you have to prepare AUAT admission test exam which ic conducted by aliah university itself.

Likes

Very Low Fee despite of good placements. Low investment, good returns.
Despite being a government college, the infrastructure is really good.
Location of the college is good. No issues in connectivity and other basic needs.

Dislikes

Politics of students union is the worst thing in my college
Professors are not as engaged in teaching as they should be.
Many illegal people resides in hostel, but mangent doens't enquire the matter properly.

Admission:

I come from a poor family background. That's why I chose this University, because of the low fee structure. I've also applied for Jadavpur University, Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Kalyani Government Engineering College etc. But my rank was 6010 in wbjee, so I got this college. My college also takes its own admission exam called AUAT (Aliah University Admission Test). To appear for AUAT, you must have 45% in your class 12 exams.

The infrastructure is good and the place is well maintained
Faculty are knowledgeable but sometimes language is the issue
Students and friendly here, there is almost no senior junior problems

Dislikes

Course curriculum is mostly theoretical and less practical knowledge
All the classes of every department are in the same building
Workshops are not so well equipped and thus no practical knowledge

Admission:

I got a seat in this university through WBJEE and counseling rounds. The university also conducts AUAT Aliah University Admission Test for admission to courses through their own examination. The other colleges I applied were Techo India, Jadavpur University

Likes

The college has a good building and food.
The college has no ragging culture and also the environment is peaceful

Dislikes

The senior-junior interaction is very less.
Almost everyday some of the classes get cancelled .

Admission:

I wrote exams like JEE and VIT entrance paper but failed to manage a good score and hence chose to get into Aliah University since it is a government engineering college which implies i could complete the course with a very low tuition fee. I got into Aliah by writing the AUAT exam which is a 3 hours exam . To get into Aliah University Engineering branches you can either write the WBJEE paper or the AUAT . Your rank must be within 10,000 in WBJEE and within 300 in AUAT. However there is reservation for physically challenged people in AUAT. But there is no reservation based on religion.

Know About Aliah University

Likes

Study environment of university is very good
Area where campus is situated in very good.
Teaching is very good so that is quite different from other universities.

Dislikes

Lab infrastructure can be improved as instruments are very old.
Language problem can arise for non -bengali students.
Placement is not that good so you have to see that by yourself.

Admission:

I really didn't apply for any other college than this.I thought of taking admission in Galgotia but it's fee structure and the review of that college was also not very good.I took jee mains exam but couldn't crack it so I took admission here as fee Structure is also very good and study environment is also good. It takes its own exam known as AUAT but also takes admission of those students who have qualified Wbjee and jee mains. Admission process is very simple as after giving entrance exam there is offline counceing itself in the campus so departments are allotted according to rank.Documents are verified itself on that day.

A life of students in Aliah University

Likes

There is well maintained campus and cleaned.
Wifi with high speed in the campus for students.
Labs are well managed by the assistant.All devices work perfectly.

Dislikes

There is some issue with Languages Like Hindi or Bengali.
Faculty are not well trained or Capable to teach that much.

Admission:

Basically I am not applied for any other colleges. So I have only option to take addmission .But now I am happy to got addmission in this college. Basically for taking addmission in this college you have to give entrance exam which is organised by Aliah University it self near about March or April they open window of application for exam.Cut of is near about 40-45 marks to get addmission,after getting rank under 250 u have to do document verification by the college for addmission confirmation.

The aspectsof the college that I have appreciated is its principal behaviour is very good, all the teachers teaching skill is so well.
I am trying to go to the college 5-6 days in a week, and my interactions with my friends and other is very good.
Our campus and lerning facilities are so well.

Dislikes

One thing I dislike that projector base learning process is not available.
There is lack of program and social program.
All students is not present in our class.

I choise dumkal college for bachelor deggre becaise first of all this college is near to my home almost 18 km. After hs we fillup form and after publishing hs marks the meritlist made as per hs result.

Dislikes

One common area for improvement is the lack of direct industry exposure. While the curriculum is research-oriented, more collaborations with industries, internships.
The girls to boys ratio in Physics departments is with more male students. On average, the ratio might be around 1:5or 1:6.

In cultural way this is the best university i ever saw

Dislikes

Hostel is not available for everyone & it delay to get hostels.
Buildings are damaged which need to be improved
Canteen should improved & food quality should better
