Cause I researched about it a lot and I genuinely got an interest in it through the point that 1.it's related to Food and 2. The competition is less in this field. But as for the faculty of our college is not so great having said they aren't that well educated in this field or they don't have proper knowledge about the subjects. Just a few of the teachers are good..! and having a less no. Of student is not that great. The qualification is of a Ph.D. but the knowledge is not that great. Teaching methods to be the talk of isn't good some teachers just rant the ppt and go. There are 2 exams in one semester one is internals and the end sem +practical exams. And to be honest the exams are not that difficult except the biotechnology papers.
Food technology is a growing field, and I am interested in Food safety and packaging procedures that's why I opted for this course. All the faculty members were good, helping nature, and all of them having a Ph.D. degree in food specifically. Faculty-student ratio 1:6
