Master of Computer Applications [MCA] From BSAU, Chennai

B S Abdur Rahman University (BSAU), Tamil Nadu is a private university, ranked among the top-50 engineering institutions of the country. It is one of the few institutions with all the UG and PG programmes approved by AICTE/UGC and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation.

Computer Applications Department of BSAU offers the following computer application programmes to the students:

• Master of Computer Applications (MCA - Regular)
• Master of Computer Applications (MCA - Lateral Entry)

Those who seek admission can download the application form available on the university website. Alternatively, candidates can also send a request letter to the university along with the fee, in the form of Demand Draft, and obtain the application form through post. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to MCA programme on the basis of their scholastic achievements and performance in the entrance examination conducted by the university.

BSAU MCA Eligibility Criteria

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) – Regular (3 years) 

Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects in degree course (OR) Mathematics at 10+2 level.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) – Lateral Entry (2 years)

Candidate who possess a graduate degree such as BCA, BSc. (CS) and BSc. (IT) will be given Direct Admissions to the 2nd Year of MCA programme.

BSAU MCA Admission Process

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) – Regular (3 years)/ Lateral Entry (2 years)

Selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in qualifying examination and scores obtained in the university entrance examination (BSAU MCA Entrance Exam) as well as personal interview.

How to Apply?

Application forms can be downloaded from the university website or obtained in person upon payment of fee of Rs.600/- through cash/demand draft. DD should be drawn in favour of ‘B.S.Abdur Rahman University’, payable at Chennai.

Candidates can also obtain the application form by sending the requisition letter along with Demand Draft (DD) for Rs. 600/- in favour of “B S Abdur Rahman University”, payable at “Chennai”. The letter should be sent to the following address:
