VMOU M.Sc is a 2-year distance learning course at the PG level. The maximum duration to complete the course is 4 years. The university offers M.Sc program in 7 specialisations namely, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, and Geography. VMOU conducts M.Sc admissions in July every year. The university also accepts lateral entry (admission to 2nd year) to the M.Sc Computer Science. Admissions to the M.Sc program will be offered based on an entrance exam followed by counselling conducted by the university. Candidates who have completed bachelor’s Degree (minimum TDC) from any recognized University in any discipline with at least Second Division or equivalent are eligible for admission.

VMOU M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for M.Sc admission at VMOU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum TDC) from any recognized University in any discipline with at least Second Division or equivalent.
  • For M.Sc Computer Science Lateral Entry: Passed PGDCA from VMOU OR Passed PGDCA from any recognised university with at least second division in Bachelor’s degree provided that 70% of the syllabus are common with that of VMOU.

VMOU M.Sc Admission Criteria

Admission to M.Sc at VMOU is done through an entrance exam conducted by the university. The final selection for the M.Sc program is done on the basis of scores obtained in the entrance examination.

  • Choose the desired course and fill in the application form with adequate information
  • Upload scanned copy of photograph, signature, and required documents 
  • Submit the application form and pay the required application fee
