Manipal University, Jaipur B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

The students seeking admission must meet the following eligibility criteria.

Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and English as mandatory subjects along with Chemistry or Computer Science or Biotechnology or Biology or Statistics or Engineering Drawing as optional subject.
The applicant should have secured a minimum of 50% score in 10+2
For Lateral entry, candidates should have a three-year Diploma in relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Candidates at Manipal University, Jaipur are selected for admission to B.Tech courses on the basis of their score in MET exam. For lateral entry students, there is no entrance test and admissions are done based on the score of the qualifying exam.

The B.Tech course at Manipal University, Jaipur is divided into 8 semesters across 4 years. The curriculum is flexible and students can opt for electives as per their choice.

In order to achieve the degree, students must have at least 169 credits.
Semesters I and II are similar for all the branches.
Students willing to change branches can do so in the III semester.

the curriculum is pretty unrelated to the course for the physics cycle in the first sem but in chemistry cycle there is this subject called psuc in which they teach you c programming, also from the second the second year you will be learning dsa so that will make you industry ready

The comfort and sense of freedom the college provides as its not a very well disciplined of strict college.
The campus and classrooms are pretty nice and comfortable to sit for classes 9-5.

The surroundings, the village this college is based nearby is not at all developed compared to others, I feel like.
The crowd of a college as said its based in an empty village, hence the students are locals not all of them but lot of them which affects the crowd and environment of the college.

This course was solely available in only this college and it was new, the curriculum itself was a bit different form the regular course such as CSE. The curriculum does make sure that your foundation for becoming a Data Scientist is strong, but its just the foundation, all the basics nothing advance is being taught but again we never knew the importance of learning alphabet untill we really think about how important it is.

The infrastructure is good and the campus is very grand.
The faculty is generally pleasant and knowledgeable on their subjects.

The climate is somewhat extreme and unbearable.
Some faculty members can be a bit arrogant and entitled.

The curriculum is good but not very good. Some of the faculty members are stuck with the old PPTs despite being very brilliant. The course material is seldom updated, and mostly the same slides are recycled every year until they get outdated. The college could update the course material every year. There are a few real-world applications for whatever is taught in class but mostly the system encourages a pen-and-paper exam approach to studying. There is a mid-term exam and an end-term exam, with 3 quizzes throughout the semester. The quizzes are easy but the exams can be quite uncertain.

The campus is good. The library is very big and good. Good sports facilities are available. There is enough greenary in the campus.
The labs are very good. All the devices and instruments in all the labs are up to the mark.

Too many exams. There is a lab mid sem and a lab end-sem exam for labs. Then there is a theory mid-sem and a theory end-sem also.
Usually in all other colleges, if you fail in a subject, then you need to give the exam of that subject again next year but here they make you repeat

The coding subjects made me choose this course. The curriculum is designed well to prepare you for the real world applications. The labs sessions play a key role in that. Exams are very frequent and they are difficult but that is good in a way because it prepares you for the placements.
