Being a non-engineer OBC girl candidate, at what percentile can I expect a call from IIM Udaipur

Your gender and category play a very insignificant role in determining your chances of getting admission. As a girl you will be given 5 marks extra owing to gender diversity. And your Category will require you percentile lesser than the general category. But these factors are not the major parameters for selecting candidates. The major criterias include your past academic records and work experience. The weightages allotted to these components can be checked from the official website. Considering your profile here is my opinion regarding the percentile required to guarantee your admission. 90+ — 100% chances 85–90 - Almost 100% chances 80–85 - May or may not get a call though chances for getting a call are more 70–80 - Chances of getting a call are relatively low Please note that this is guaranteed only if you clear category specific cut-offs.

Campus life is great and always have something to enjoy
Faculties are great at IIMU as most of them are from IIMA and IIMC

Dislikes

Less on-site opportunities where students can learn first hand.
Campus was still under construction so a lot was missed.

Admission:

There is a 2 step and sometimes 3 step process for admission. First is the CAT (common aptitude test) and based on the percentile scored you get shortlisted for the interview round which is around 96 for the general category. You get selected based on the overall score with different weightage given to CAT score, Interview, work experience and X, XII and grad marks. The overall process is usually smooth but the gap between them is sometimes in months.

Campus life is amazing. You will enjoy like nothing. These will be the best 2 years of your college and you will not forget them to the rrst of your life, People here are not that intelligent but they are fun to hangout with,
It is the best new IIM, the city is great and people come from far away to roam around Udaipur.

Case competition culture is not at all present. No body cares about case comms and it is a big concern for an MBA college
Quality of students is sub-par. The students are not great at all. People here mostly care about other things then studies and placements

You need to take CAT Exam for getting admission into IIM Udaipur. Generally the cutoff for General category is around 96 percentile to get a interview call. After that a CAP Interview round is conducted then the overall result is declared. In the entire process they consider 10th, 12th, Under-grad, CAT and interview scores.

Infrastructure is still under development. Sports and other activity areas can be improved.

Simple and straightforward. It was a standard process. It was completely transparent and i had complete trust on the admissions committee. The exam undertaken was CAT 2022 and I had secured around 98 percentile

The campus is beautiful and picturesque nestled in the Aravalli hills. The hostel accommodation are nice. All students get their own rooms with all the basic facilities and cleaning services.
The faculty members are extremely helpful and understanding. Always ready to guide. Many of them have vast and tremendous experience.

During monsoon, the campus gets insect-prone. It can become a problem for few students.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from any reputed institution. They should have minimum perentage of 55%. After checking eligibility, they have to take CAT, which usually takes place in month of november every year. The form for CAT can be found on iimcat.ac.in Fill out the form and choose all the IIMs you want to participate in. The cut off for Udaipur was 92 percentile. Apart from overall cutoff, sectional cutoff needs to be cleared as well.

Overall Experience in IIM Udaipur

Academics and Faculty are top notch and very focused
Social Life- the facilities provided are good and the Infrastructure is the best

Admission to IIM Udaipur is through the CAP process. Initially, you must appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT- iimcat.ac.in) and choose all the IIMs you want to be admitted into. After you clear the cut-off for each of the sections in the test, you will get a call through an email saying CAP admissions. No different form has to be filled except for the CAT registration form for the CAP round, it is purely selection based. This CAP process includes New IIMs like Udaipur, Trichy, Ranchi, etc. The CAP process in 2022 (CAT exam 2021) was online with one Interview round, which tested personality and confidence. The results of the CAP round are usually announced in mid-May, following which the confirmed students need to pay Rs 100000 as a confirmation fee which would be deducted from the actual 1st term fee amount.

A minimum of 50% is required in under graduation and there were overall criteria of greater than 85 percentile overall. Sectional cutoff of 60 percentile. You can find all the concerned details reg the application on CAT's official website and there are other forums, which are very useful.

IIM Udaipur - The best New IIM

The admission was through an entrance exam CAT followed by PI. The application starts at CAT 2023 in September each year. The application fee is approx 2000 and graduation is the minimum eligibility criteria followed by some cap of 10 and 12 per cent.

Too much orientation on acads is also not good because of which alot of traits are not judged properly Eligibility for iimu is bachelor's in any degree with valid cat score. Campus life is forever happening and helps students navigate and network

The infrastructure of the college is still developing and thus can be a problem but overall the campus is huge and welcoming

The admission process is straight forward, I appeared for CAT 2021, the fee for CAT is around 2000, if you know some basics a preparation of 4-5 months is enough, you will be asked for your IIM preferences in the CAT form itself, post the results are annouced with will start receiving interview calls as per the eligibility criteria and cutoffs mentioned on the official site of these institutes, you can also apply for other colleges if you met the cut-offs. The interview is pretty basic and you need not answer all the questions, you will start receiving offers in April tentatively.

Yes, IIM Udaipur considers the valid scores of previous academics (10^th, 12^th etc.). The following will be the breakup of previous academics:

How many seats are available in general category?

There are 60 seats for the general categories, 32 seats for the OBC, 28 for the SC, and for the ST category there are 10 seats reserved at the IIM Udaipur. How many seats are available in general category? Out of the total 5500 plus seats across all IIMs for admission, a sizeable chunk of the seats are reserved for certain groups of students. A total of 809 seats belong to the OBC categories, 538 seats are reserved for SC/ST categories, and the remaining seats are left for EWS and PwD categories.
