- Hostel life was good. We will celebrate all important days
- Library facilities was good. It include all the books related to marine biology and even for net exam also
Dislikes
- Campus life was boring. There were no programs or club activities
- They had removed scuba from the syllabus.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The main reason I decided to choose this course is the curiosity for ocean. From childhood onwards ocean was one of the curious thing for me. The syllabus was good but field experience was very low. And as a marine biologist scuba as a part of syllabus is good I guess. For the further academic studies the course help me to know more about the behind things of ocean as well as how ocean management is important for the survival of the environment. The exam pattern include 2 internals for each subject and the main exam is for 80 marks and the time period is 3hrs

- Has provided an appropriate location for Marine biologist
- Calm atmosphere for students to study and relax
Dislikes
- There is no placement assured for the students
- No summer vacation and winter vacation for the students
Course Curriculum Overview:
Marine Biology is being a more relavant course nowadays. I consider field work amd experience as important aspect for marine biologist. University provide oppurtunity to explore the ocean up to an extant other than other universities.
Likes
- The location of Pondicherry University in Port Blair is real good. It is surrounded by Beaches where you can access it at anytime . You will get public transport infront of campus itself through which you can go anywhere within will get concessions
- Calm atmosphere. As there is only less students comparatively the campus has a good and peaceful atmosphere without any conflicts.
Dislikes
- Hostel facility. The rooms are good but the toilet facilities are not that okey and wifi issues are there
- Food quality. Food is sometimes not at all tasty and cant eat
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course Master of Science in Marine biology offers you the vast studies of ocean.The first sem will get you adapted to the studies as it comprises Physical Oceanography, Chemical Oceanography, Biological Oceanography and Marine ecology. The course comprises four semesters with practical and theory exams and an individual project at last exams. The course can improve in the sense that it should include more field studies rather than classroom studies and exams and breaks should be given accordingly.

- Environnement is so calm and quiet so that we can concentrate on studies
Dislikes
- There is no placement cells which are needed for the students
- The food quality is so pathetic and the facilities are also less in meas
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum of this course is very good the syllabus includes all the topics one need to know about marine environments and also the exposure is really nice .Here they are preparing for real world.To improve department include more practical works like field trips and sampling procedure with every students.Syllabus is understanding and exams are simple and fully inside syllabus

- Even though the Port Blair campus is small, it has very peaceful atmosphere. There is no rush to the class as the hostels are located very near to the class rooms
- The department is good with experienced faculties who are always willing to help us.And the lab facilities are also good even though they are having limited facilities
Dislikes
- Placement is one of the main issue that is facing. Like the other science field, the department is not providing any placement for the students
- Powe cut is one of the main problem that have been facing in the Port Blair. So it is also effecting the campus. So many times the power went off during classes create difficulties
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am a person who loves the sea and ocean so I really wanted to study more about the sea, that's why I mainly choose this course. The course has various opportunities. After completing the course you can go for PhD by clearing JRF or you can opt teaching and also you can work and research in various Marine institutes all over the world. Don't expect the faculties to spoon feed you, it is PG and you need to do your things and prepare notes
Fee Structure And Facilities:
The fee structure is average but it is quite expensive than the other central University of India. This year the fees has been increased. Now it is around 23000rs,3000rs, 13,000rs and 3000rs for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th semester respectively. I took admissiom in 2018 and paid 17900rs, 2135rs, 9400rs and 2000rs for the 1st,2nd, 3rd and 4th semester respectively.
Fee Structure And Facilities:
Though thee fees structure is average still it is more compare to the other central University. For Msc the fee is around 40000 for two years where the PhD fees is around 60000 per 3 year. You have to pay around 23000rs for the admission, in 2nd semester 3000rs. 3rd sem 13000rs. 4th sem 3000rs. This amount has increased this year. I took admissiom in 2018 and paid 17900rs, 2135rs, 9400rs and 2000rs. For the 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th semester respectively.
Fee Structure And Facilities:
Extremely feasible fee structure. As it is a national university & admission is dome on the basis of merit & ranks in the entrance exam, nominal fees are collected from the students & maximum facilities such as labs & library are provided to the students.
