Course Curriculum Overview:

Bioinformatics is interdisciplinary field which includes computer science, biology, mathematics, physical science. Thus it's give a broad area to work on and gain more knowledge. The course curriculum is well designed from the very basic of Linux system and programming language, it goes to advance level till algorithm and machine learning, genomics, Drug Discovery etc.

Campus life is good with different people. Exposure to variety of customs and traditions.
A big central library and reading space for students 24/7 is great for those who need a place to study peacefully

Dislikes

Language barrier if you are stepping outside from the campus, then it is difficult to roam if you don't understand tamil
Mobile network issues are there and also campus wifi facility sucks more often

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bioinformatics resembles the course of computational biology. We ll compete with computer science department students during placements. So one can say it is related to any course that includes computer science but the difference being we also study biology and genomics too with other subjects midexams and semester exams are held on a specific time schedule designed as per the dept feasibility

Pondicherry University's green and lively campus provided a conducive atmosphere for learning and social interactions.
Interacting with students from different states broadened perspectives and enriched the overall educational experience.

Dislikes

Involvement in campus politics tainted the academic environment and created a negative atmosphere for students.
The substandard quality of food in the mess facilities was a recurring issue and affected the overall satisfaction of students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of the course I opted is comprehensive and challenging as it is a Mix of all other disciplines like genomics, statistics, programming languages along with maths, physics and chemistry. Mid-exams are conducted monthly to check the performance of students.

Campus environment is good. beach-side campus, relaxing and soothing with nature all around.
Diverse people. We get to know each others culture and traditions and make connections.

Dislikes

Mobile network is horrible. Apart from airtel and bsnl nothing works properly
Student unions protest for matters irrelevant to the students which will hinder the academics in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is massive and broad. One who got enrolled in bioinformatics will be exposed to different topics like spectrometry, molecular dynamics, statistics, R and C languages, Genomics and proteomics etc,. This is a interdisciplinary course Practical sessions are also there for students to gain hands-on experience So far, teaching methods and faculty are best and experts in their domains Mid exams and end- semester exams are conducted generally monthly and half-yearly respectively.
