Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur was established by the efforts of Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao (Former Prime Minister of India), Late Shri Sudhakarrao Naik and Dr Shrikant Jichkar on September 18, 1997. It is a State University recognized by UGC, under Act of 1956 & a member of Association of Indian Universitites (AIU). A total of 56 colleges fall under the jurisdiction of the University. It is sitauated at Mauda Road, Ramtek , Nagpur (District), Maharashtra.
