Faculty:

In my department specifically the student and faculty bond is really good and they helps alot. As I am in fine Arts department we need alot of guidance and need of correction, so they help alot. Virendra Sir and Jitendra sir are our two faculty members and they are very sweet and kind and really helps us out from any situation. I don't think there's any faculty whom I don't like. All are nice and I don't have to interact with them. There's 2 internal exams and 1 sem exam per Semester. If somebody fails in 1st or 2nd internal they can cover it up in another exam. So there's not many students who fail

Campus Life:

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love painting and i had decided at an early age to study further in this field. After i learned about the program, i researched more into field, got to know of the subjects, a variety of them such as painting, sculpting, printmaking that come under classical art and subjects such as visual graphics, advertisement theory, typography, illustration that come under applied arts. Applied arts unlike painting honors provides job security as it is commercial. Companies hire artists for package designing, advertisement making, etc. I feel like they should add teaching more about the outside trends and meanings and references behind them rather than just telling what is to be done. A background always helps make room for more ideas. Exams in my personal experience are not a very stressful task, we always know what to do when we read the question and there's little to no space for confusion. We have projects, home assignments, viva and at last the end semester exams. The timings are balanced.

Faculty:

The faculty is good and highly approachable. They do not exercise extreme strictness and liberal with the submission of assignments so that students can perform their best in the proper amount of time that is provided. Our PL, Dr. Geetika Kaw Kher is an extremely compassionate person , she's knowledgeable and approachable. Mr. Swapan Bhandary is a person of experience and shares them with his valuable teachings. Mr. Rajeev Sharma is funny, kind and very approachable, he suggests effective ways to solve problems that students bring to him. Students who have less than 75% of attendance in a subject, they are debarred from appearing in the exam of that particular subject. For students who have missed classes of most of the subjects have to appear for back paper. Chances of failure after attempting the paper is quite less unless it's filled with junk or left blank. The assignments are given in accordance to the current scenario of trend & demand in the field in the outside world.

Learning experience was quite fascinating as a fine arts student we discuss a lot learned lots of things from the teachers. Mentors are like God they light up our pathways where we want to go. I always try to interact but i am a little bit introvert into this but i tried my best and pushing myself forward.

There are cultural fest but its not like the private ones in Noida amd Greater Noida. It is of more involvement of the students in the preparation of the fest which makes it more interesting in my opinion. These are no club scene. For Sports and the other things, you have to check out the time when its started

Faculty:

They're really free so that you can ask your doibts whenever you want but at the same time the faculties don't have thw self motivation to teach the students. Just because of this the level falls but some new faculties are also the who give their 100% and as they are new so they have modern tricks for the art

Du is known for its fest season. I guess the biggest pro of being a du students is the FEST SEASON. Doesn't matter whether you are a student of North or south campus, you can attend any colleges fest. But yes small conflicts happens. The fest season starts from January and typically lasts till April. Du has great library facilities. Every college have their own library. And the Arts faculty of du has a very good library. Du also offers extra curricular activities for the development of students. I don't have much idea about that. But the campus life depends on the college that you're studying. If you're a student of North campus no doubt you will have a good college life. But that doesn't mean other college's student don't have a good campus life. It's all matter of being extrovert, your behaviour and financial condition.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

In 2023 I submitted 24k as my course fee for the annum as being a student of general category. Every course has this same fee structure for the general candidates but DU has a very low fee for other categories such as SC, ST and OBC comparing to general category. DU has several other quotas as well such as orpan quota etc. As far as I know for the sc aspirants the fee for any course was 13-14k in 2023. But the fee structure of du fluctuates too. In 2022 the fee for general category students were only 13k, I have no idea why they increased the fee for 2023 with a big margin. If I talk about the scholarship yes DU does provide scholarship to their students. And I guess that depends on the academic performance and few other things.

Events are always happening even when there is no occasion but annual fest takes place in Feb-March. Almost every book is present in lavish library. My course has so much to do with technology so desktops are available with suitable applications but sometimes the monitor doesn't work at all. Sports is a big deal in Amity, there's an event called sangathan which takes place every year where sports person takes part from all over the country. There are clubs present but doesn't make much of a difference.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course has helped me a lot in enhancing my skills, be it manually or digitally, I have grown so much like you can see growth in my work, I have been a great fine art student since day one. Only thing i want them to change is attendance system and when it comes to exam's difficulty level, it's good, they challenge you in a certain way and schedule for them exams is always great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is about learning the basics like the design principles, colour theory etc. which gives us a perfect knowledge of how to start a design. The teaching method is quiet interesting and assignments are also given to the students after each topic is taught, so that, the students have the proper experience of working. Some teachers need to take the students to the lab to explain them better.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are provided by the college during the summer vacation when students are free and can work on their skills. The internships often are related to doing a research and detailed study about a topic which is or has been taught to the students beforehand. These are unpaid internships which are required to be done within a time span of about 6 weeks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

unlike other colleges, amity teaches both painting and applied for the first two semesters and even after that still has at least one subject related to the other option for the other semester. it also prepared you for real-world application by teaching other subjects like b com, EVS, foreign language, etc. the theory subject are straight to the point and the practical subjects even though lacking in the first two semesters have greatly improved due to the newly introduced module system where one practical subject is taught throughout the week

Campus Life:

there are some good retractable tables in our class but it is one short as we have 11 people with only 10 tables and an annual exhibition for our whole department on campus once a year and other than that it holds festivals such as : amiphoroa which is a 3-day festival held in February, DJ night held once a day yearly, and noboborsho celebration. There is not much in the name of sports but we have an excellent student-run art club which organizes various events.
