University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad is a premier institute of Agricultural Science, was established in 1986 under section 3 of the Karnataka Universities of Agricultural Sciences Act, 1963. It began College of Agriculture in 1947 at Dharwad. The university aims to provide for undergraduates and postgraduate instructions in agriculture and other allied branches of learning.

The research programmes of the University are of three kinds viz., basic, applied and strategic oriented towards solving location specific and farmer-centric problems.

Admission process is so smooth, you can pay fee through bank transfer or you can use internet banking as well. Competitive exam called KCET for pcmb candidates from Karnataka this is the exam and you need to have a ranking of 5000 and within to get seat from top farm science colleges. Other than that you've ICAR exam through that you can get a college anywhere in India.

Eligibility of the course is class 12 passed and have to applied for cuet and give entrance examination and on the results basis ICAR will conduct the counselling and on that note there is reserve system varying from college to college

To take admission we should write kcet entrance exam or icar exam. Then there will a counselling and if your rank is good enough you will get a seat here. Seat allotment is based on the category you belong to.

I am satisfied with the college, but the campus needs a lot of improvement. Placements: In this course, you won't be able to get any kind of recruitment. You have to depend on government vacancies or have to find private jobs. You can also try for some of the competitive exams like UPSC KAS, and PSI exams.
The college environment is good, and this entire course is of 4 years duration. Our college sports club with faculty members are awesome. You never regret choosing this college. teachers here are good, and you will learn many new things regarding agricultural sciences. You can also join the PG course in our college only, and you can also join the research institute. Teachers help us with perfect learning, but they don't provide notes.
I wrote Icar entrance exam for agriculture b.sc .eligibility is pass and above 60 percent marks should be obtained in 10+2 &maths students can also write Application available on Icar website and application fee is around 1000 rupes Sc students have 15% and st students around 10% The admission process is very lengthy and difficult
We can join college through entrance exams like kcet, Diploma agriculture which is conducted every year based on the ranking the colleges are allotted for kcet pcmb are main subjects, there are reservation quotas according to categories and also 50 percent practical quota for farmers son /daughter and other quotas like Kannada medium, rural, handicapped etc, the admission procedure is easy.

The university has 5 colleges, 27 Research Stations, 6 Agriculture Extension Education Centers, 6 Krishi Vigyan Kendra, and ATIC. Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bijapur, Dharwad, Gagad, Haveri, and Uttar Kannada are the seven districts where UAS Dharwad has its jurisdiction. UAS Dharwad is recognized by the UGC. The university offers a total of 54 courses.
After pursuing course of Diploma in health inspector, you can pursue courses viz. Medical Assistant, Health worker, Field Assistant.
