  • We have to walk a lot from one department to another one.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Well, being honest I never intended to do agriculture as my higher studies. I was a medical aspirant, well I would say my situation sent me here. I was bit confused about how to cope up with different stream and all. But at the endz it's not that tough. If you want to do then you can do. The course basically focuses on agriculture, basics and it's various branches. Exams are conducted smoothly and in a perfect manner.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I got into this college through ICAR. The competitive exam was conducted under Cuet and the selection process was done by ICAR. So for the first year the fees was overall around 64-65k. I don't remember well. Cuz they took the amount in parts. Like at the time of our seat freezing we deposited 10k amount and first sem physical admission, we deposited 22k. Again during second sem registration we deposited 33k. Under icar candidates don't have hostel fees. We just have to pay the mess bill monthly. Scholarships are there.

Campus Life :

Campus life is amazing I would say. We have social events. Campus day, krishi mela, and inter school sports, etc. are the events that are held. Though I just joined the college 6 months back, I have experienced a lot many functions. Various clubs are formed like art and theatre club, sports club, agriculture innovation club, etc. Students of each and every year can participate and be a member of these clubs. Library facilities are better.

Admission :

Course name - B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture Competitive exam was Common University entrance test. Then Icar took out the rank card based on the percentile score. Then we had to to do the choice filling of the colleges. As per the rank we got alloted to college.

Faculty :

Faculties are quite experienced. They always try to do their best for the Students. They usually teach in English language which is a major question for other state people who opt for this college. You won't face any difficulty.

Placement Experience:

Placements are rare because nobody is interested to do the job. Most students study for competitive exams. In the last year some practicals like raw, experimental learning, etc. are studied. Some personal development programs are conducted in the IDP scheme.

Placement Experience:

I have no idea about placements. Seniors are either pursuing a PhD, or they are working as JRF. I haven't heard that even one of our seniors has been placed in any company. Students are worried about their future. There is no job security in this university for M.Sc and MBB students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I was interested in agriculture as well as management, I chose agricultural marketing cooperation and business management. The faculty is excellent, and all of the teachers have Ph.D.. The exams are timely and rigorous.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was more interested to learn about nature and the environment so I opted for this degree. Per class, we have 70 students and per pratical batch around 30-35. Involves both interactive board and practical lecturer-based teaching, practical is more often held on fields based on course. Almost 99% of faculty have pursued a Doctorate and PhDs. The semester-based system with one semester upto5-6 months .each semester has 2 internal exam ( 25/30 marks Midterm +20 marks practical with manual) and one external for 50 marks and attendance for 5 marks for each course. Courses are easy to pass if we update ourselves with classes and follow the mentioned syllabus and attend practicals regularly . Our institution has strict evaluation.

Placement Experience:

No campus placements. But good chance in jrf exam then to get pg admission. And we can write Agricultural officer exam, then we can write the bank exam and other exams like seed board and other boards. So we can qualify for the exam and get a job. And also private jobs available.

Admission:

For admission to the university I appeared in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University. After qualifying the common entrance test and getting my name in the merit list I was granted the admission in the B.Sc programme. After the grant of admission I was called to the campus for procedural formalities. Since it is one of the top Agriculture University in the country I opted for admission in it.

Placement Experience:

Placement rate of the university is nice. However, most of the student prepare for jobs in the government sector while others explore opportunities outside campus offers on their own. University provides internship on campus however one is allowed to to get the internship done on their own if they want.
