Course Description
Candidates are required to fill the online application form in order to appear for CUCET . Candidate may fill the form partially and login again to complete it later.
Candidates will receive confirmation alerts at the time of registration and after completing payment through online modes. In case of offline payment through E-challan, the applicant will get a message after reconciliation from SBI.
Pre-requisites for applying to CUCET :
- Email id
- Scanned photo
- Scanned signature
- Credit card, Net banking or ATM-cum-Debit card (for online Payment mode)
CUCET application process consists of the following steps:
Step 1: Candidate should login to official CUCET website and go to the “Apply” section.
Step 2: Click on the Registration link against the UG/PG Course which you want to apply for. After successful registration, candidate will receive a mail and message at the respective register email ID and mobile.
Step 3: After filling-in all the relevant details carefully, candidate should upload his/her scanned photo and signature.
Note: The photograph should have dimensions 200 x 230 pixels and the file size should be between 10kb to 100 kb. The signature image should have dimensions 140 x 60 pixels and the file size should be between 5kb to 20kb
Step 4: In the next step, candidate should register for three courses in a particular selected program from Central University of Kerala
Step 5: In this step, candidates can edit their applications and proceed for payment of processing fee through any of the following modes:
Online mode of payment: Candidates can pay the required application fee through online payment modes such as Netbanking/ Creditcard/ Debitcard.
Offline mode of payment: Candidates can also pay the required fee offline through E-Challan at any SBI branch. If an applicant pays the examination fee through offline challan mode of SBI, the bank charges of INR 50 will be borne by the candidate.
Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 2-year Full-time M.A(English) Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD, Kashmiri Migrant Students)

Course Curriculum Overview:
I did my graduation in this respective course, so i chose the same for my pg as well. As i chose a central university, i hope it will raise my possition compared to others and also the acdemically and teaching methods are good. We get enough time for exams. It depends on each students about management of time.

- Good faculty with more experience friendly and caring
- Department are too good with good class beyond other colleges
Dislikes
- We have to coverup all the syllabus, didn't take all the things
- Hostel is far from the department that's so much problem for boys
Course Curriculum Overview:
If you're interested in Literature you should opt English literature that's why I opted it.The curriculum prepares well with the world knowledge and we would get a indepth knowledge of English grammar, literature.
Likes
- The scenery, as we have a lot of greenery in some parts of the campus
- Certain professors who are really kind and patient.
Dislikes
- The horrible weather at summers and winters, especially due to my dry skin
- The distance from the hostel to the department is unnecessarily long
Course Curriculum Overview:
The MA English course curriculum offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for both real-world applications and further academic pursuits. Specifically, the inclusion of modules focusing on literary theory, critical analysis, and language studies influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum effectively prepares students for real-world applications by fostering critical thinking, research abilities, and communication skills, which are valuable in fields such as education, publishing, journalism, and more. However, the curriculum could benefit from more diverse perspectives, including non-Western literature and marginalized voices, to offer a more inclusive and comprehensive understanding of the literary world. Regarding teaching methods, the course offers a variety of assessment methods, including essays, presentations, and exams. Though some students may find the current exam schedule overwhelming.
Likes
- The hostel, I like my hostel. The room is nice and we also have a balcony that overlooks the sunset. It is quite nice in the morning and evening
- The structure of the campus is also beautiful and unique. Even tho every department looks the same it also has it's difference and nice
Dislikes
- I not quite fond of the hostel food. I feel like it's not worth the price we pay.
- The winter is difficult here. And also the summer.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is quite good since it includes all kinds of related studies of English literature. And also cuk provides additional courses such as music, foreign languages (German, Spanish, japanese, Arabic). The teaching methods varies from teacher to teacher. However there are activities which helps the students to step up and involve themselves to improve their skills and passion. The timing of exams are valid and suitable. Also the marking system is also reliable.
Fee Structure And Facilities:
The fee structure is feasible. Almost every students can afford and each semester students have to pay fees for tuition and exam fee and students who stay in hostel have to pay the hostel fee also. As far as I concern the fee structure is not expensive
