Before the placements after the completion of the second semester, students can also do their optional internship. But over the years the students have found these internships very beneficial and the committees help the students to get through the placements as much as possible. Once the students have completed their third semester the placement procedure begins. The placement is well coordinated by the placement committee where reputed firms be a part of this process. During my batch, 95% of the transport students got placed. The ones who did not get placed were by choice as they had their commitments. The highest package offered was around 8 lakh per annum.

The average salary package ranges between INR 7 lpa to INR 8 lpa . Almost 80-90% of the students get hire from the placement fair.
The salary package offered is around 3 lpa to 6.5 lpa for freshers. Mega seems to be the top employer as of now for students in the Faculty of Technology. Students usually end up working in the domain of construction management and real estate after this course. The course has a very good project training semester where students do good internships on coveted projects.

Placement & Job opportunities were excellent at CEPT in M.Tech (Construction & Project management). Our external coordinator Prof. S.Sapre sir was having very strong relations with huge numbers of industries. Along with support of Dean & HOD, he invited plenty of companies for placement along with facilities to conduct exams, personal interviews. Companies like ESSAR, JLL, OBEROI, KPMG, SHAPOORJI, KINGHTFRANK was regular at every year for campus recruitment. We all students were absorbed by the companies who came for interviews & it was 100% placement of M.Tech (Construction & Project Management) student with very lucrative CTC packages around 6-8 lacs per annum.

Cept University tends to hire a lot of students from Cept. One can intern in the campus or choose a design studio to work with. A lot of the faculty who teach at Cept are also part of the industry and have good connections. Their network gives students an opportunity to find their niche and intern in design studios across the globe. There are also exchange programs with foreign universities, which gives students an opportunity to build their network in different places.
