NIT Warangal MTech Course Highlights

  • The M.Tech programme at NIT Warangal is for 2 years of which 2 semesters is coursework and 2 semesters dissertation work.

NIT Warangal MTech Eligibility and Selection Criteria 

  • Candidates must have cleared B.E/BTech or equivalent in a relevant discipline with a 7.0 CGPA or 65% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute.
  • Candidates must have appeared for the GATE exam for the relevant years.
  • Candidates who have studied in a Bachelor’s program in correspondence mode should belong to IGNOU Institute.
  • Candidates will be selected based on their GATE scores.
  • Based on the GATE Score, a merit list will be prepared and the shortlisted candidates need to register for the CCMT Counselling.
  • In this stage, candidates will be allotted seats on the availability of seats in the institute and their rank.

NIT Warangal MTech Admission Process

GATE CCMT Counselling process consists of five stages. These include: 

Stage 1: Online CCMT Registration, Choice Filling, and Locking

Stage 2: Online CCMT Seat Allotment & Seat Acceptance Fee Deposit

Stage 3: Online CCMT Document Uploading and Submit Willingness

Candidates are required to exercise one of the following willingness when they report to the RC:

  • Floating: if they wish to be considered in the next round for all of their higher preferred choices.
  • Sliding: if they wish to be considered in the next round for their higher preferred choices only within the Institute allotted to them.
  • Freezing: if they are satisfied with the currently allotted seat and not interested in their higher preferred choices in the subsequent round.

Stage 4: Online CCMT Document Verification

  • Document verification will be done by the verifying officer of the respective allotted institute only in the online mode.
  • After successful verification of documents, an ODVC (Online Document Verification Certificate) will be generated.

Stage 5: Online Admission in the Finally Allotted Institute- After successful online document verification by the finally allotted institute, the candidates will have to pay the balance admission fee to the respective Institute in the online mode.

Ques. What is the refund policy followed by NIT Warangal?

Ans. If a candidate cancels his/her admission after physical reporting, an amount of INR 6000/- only will be refunded from the institute fee component to the candidate.

Ans. Yes, hostel facilities are offered to the students. There are 20 hostel blocks for men and 2 for women. It is often mandatory for M.Tech students to stay in hostels only.
