NIT Warangal: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 609 Reviews

The faculty at this college is predominantly experienced, with most lecturers being over 50 years old, possessing PhDs, and having qualifications from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs. The college boasts over 300 faculty members, including professors, assistant professors, and lecturers. The faculty-student ratio varies, with figures such as 40:1 and 1:10 mentioned, depending on the course and department. Faculty members are generally friendly, available for student support, and have a strong focus on research, publishing extensively in international journals.

The teaching approach is often practical, with a mix of traditional and modern methods. However, some students find the faculty's teaching style outdated or not engaging, particularly for newer faculty. The curriculum includes a mix of theoretical and practical learning, with a strict and comprehensive exam structure involving midterms and end-semester evaluations. The faculty is considered a major strength of the institution, contributing significantly to students' academic and research achievements.

Faculty:

Faculty to student ratio is about 1:20 ratio. Faculty are very knowledgeable but there are of course some that don't teach extremely well. The best faculty are generally appointed to teach the 'lower' branches I.e., the non-circuit branches. The curriculum is extremely hard and tough, but I suppose that is to be expected from an nit. In 1st year there are no midterms, but there are 2 minors. From the 2nd year, there is 1 minor, 1 midterm and 1 end sem examination. There is generally some marks given to teacher evaluation too- this can be another test, or assignment. The midterm is for 30 marks and the end is for 40 marks.

Faculty:

A lower faculty-to-student ratio allows for personalized attention and mentorship though it isn't like that .Faculty members should be approachable, accessible, and willing to help students. The course curriculum should be relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with industry needs.

Our Faculty members are good , friendly in nature. They immediately clarify our doubts in the class. There are some teachers who are excellence in explanation. Our faculty advisor helped us in many ways. One of them is for writing the minor, end sem exams we must fill the related form and download the registration slip. Due to some circumstances we could download them. Our sir filled all the forms and downloaded the slips.

The faculty student ratio is 1:80 coming to student faculty relationship as of my experience till now it is not great after boom of online education many students don't prefer to study from classes they prefer to learn from youtube from their favourite students who teach them in easy manner, The name of the facilities I liked still now his name Arockia he taught us a new subject called design thinking for me the course was full of curiosity and I enjoyed the complete course it was different from typical subject it was most based from practical real problems he taught us with real case studies and classes were great interactive I don't like biology sir his name is ramraju I don't have any complains with his teaching method but Even though it is quite known that it is not useful subject for us still he teaches us and make pressure to learn biology without thing is there any impact of it or not The are difficult and faculty creates the paper students learn the subject just for the sake to pass exams the curriculum is no way relevant to the current scenario we can create any code via chatgpt still the teach us old dated coding lectures without teaching us how to use ai to increase productivity in future
