GIET University is an engineering college located at Gunupur, in the state of Odisha, India. It was established in 1997. This institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, India and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology Government of Odisha since 1997. The institute offers several Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology, Business Administration. GIET University also offers PhD program in 12 specializations.
- Admission to the B.Tech is done through JEE Main/GIETEE conducted by the university whereas for M.Tech. program, candidates need to have a valid GATE score.
- Admission to the M.Sc program is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
- Admission to the MBA program is given to the candidates through All India MBA Entrance Test / CAT / MAT / XAT / OJEE / CMAT scores.
- Admission to the PhD program is done on the basis of CSIR/UGC-JRF/GATE/UGC-NET scores.
GIET University B.Tech Admission 2024
GIET offers a Bachelor of Technology under 12 different specializations. All of the courses are of a duration period of four years. The institute also offers a B.Tech degree under lateral entry which is of three years.
For 50% of seats, admission will be done on the basis of JEE Main exam. The candidates has to register on the OJEE website for counselling. The remaining 50% seats are filled on the basis of GIETEE/JEE Mains or other national level entrance exams.

Admission to the lateral B.Tech course is done on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination followed by centralized counseling conducted by the OJEE committee.

GIET University M.Tech Admission 2024
At the postgraduate level, the university offers a Master of Technology degree with a duration period of two years. The M.Tech program is provided under 10 different specialization subjects. The intake capacity for each of specialization is 18 seats. Eligibility to the M.Tech program is given to the willing candidates on the basis of the GATE score.
- Non-GATE qualified candidates, having CGPA 6.5 (10 point scale) or 60% marks in B.Tech/BE examination are required to appear for PGAT
- GATE qualified candidates, pass or appearing in MCA examination from a recognized university with CGPA 6.5 or 60% marks, eligible only for M. Tech in Computer Science
50% of seats will be filled on the basis of the GATE/Odhisa PGAT score. 50% of seats will be filled on the basis of GIETEE score.

Eligibility of course : Jee main rank 1000000 under Difficulty level of exam is not very high. Exam times : 4 exam in a year. 2 Semesters and 2 Mid Semesters. Admission process should not contain any discrimination. Each and every student should get same facility.

Eligibility criteria is very good like you have to pass out your 12th exam . There are direct admission available is this College. Reservation benifit are available there. Frequency and timing of exam is good and the difficulty level is moderate you can easily tackle all questions.

- The timing of the classes should be minimized. As there are classes for the whole day students get tired and cannot focus on there daily studies.

Getting into this college is pretty easy. It's not that tough. You just need physics Maths Chemistry as ur compulsory subject and u can get in through jee/ojee counselling or spot admissions as well. It's easy

- Sports oppertunity are available.vairious playground,gardens and gym and music clubs are present inside the campus.

- Hostel food is not that good . Some old hostel rooms are also not that good .
- Some of the A/C are unusable so it's difficult to have class in those class rooms.

The candidate must have appeared jee main . You can get the application details in college website. College doesn't conduct any exam for admission. Once you have selected in college you have to provide your documents in mail . Then on the day of admission you will visit the college and provide hardcopies of your documents.
