A scholarship worth nearly 2.5 crores is available for the meritorious students admitted to the BTech and BArch programs. The total amount for the BIT GP Birla Scholarship is 2.10 crores per annum. Suppose the no. of eligible students exceeds the available funds. In that case, the institute may revise the eligibility criteria to ensure that the total scholarship amount awarded does not exceed INR 2.10 crores every year. This scholarship covers either all part of tuition fees and dormitory costs and sometimes only the tuition fees. Given below are the different categories of BIT GP Birla Scholarships:

The sudden demise of the earning member of the family:
In case any student has to face any financial problem due to the sudden demise of the only bread-earning member of the family, BIT Mesra will provide a 100% tuition fee waiver for the ongoing semester and a scholarship of up to 75% may be offered for the next semesters. This completely depends on the student's financial situation, overall performance, and needs. Candidates securing at least a 7.5 GPA or above in the previous semester are eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship can only be available from the second semester.

the year wise fees is around 4.5 lakhs per year including mess hostel and academic fees... .The caution fees is around 25k which will get refunded after the completion of course and 5k is the caution money of mess.... development fee of first and second sem combined is 18k lab fees separately is not mentioned in the receipt the fees for every category is same for general , obc , sc and st . the fee difference is there for NRI and J&K migrants... .scholarships are availaible for obc,sc,st and kashmiri migrants... there are many scholarship options like e-kalyan, national scholarship program, gp birla scholarship and few others... gp birla scholarship is a merit based scholarship which has a eligibility criteria and after applying a merit list is published... e-kalyan is for obc , sc and st which has a eligibility criteria that the student is a resident of jharkhand and the income should be less than 1.5 lakhs.... for J&K migrants government provides scholarship and the student has to pay around 1/4 of the fees....

I paid around 85000 per semester and there were 6 semester in 3 years. 15000 were admission fees and there are scholarship programs but not sure about it . And i think fees were same for all the categories.

Our college is little bit on the higher end even though being a government funded technology institute. The total fees will nearly fifteen lakh across the four year and including hostel and mess fee it will be nearly 19.5 lakh

The fee structure for the B.tech in Computer science and Engineering(CSE) program at Birla institute of technology(BIT) mesra for general category students in 2024 is approximately 22 lakh for the full four year course. This includes tution fees, development charges, IT kits , Exam fees and infrastructure fees ... For first year :- Around 5 lakhs Remaining in subsequent years.

Bit mesra is an above average college with good placement opportunities for computer science and electronics and electrical engineering. Personally I feel syllabus is outdated and iiits have better syllabus for cse and ece branches

The total fees for the first semester sums up to 2,88,000 including 20,000 admission fees, 10,000 caution money and 60,000 IT and digital fees also including the hostel and mess charges of 33,500. The second semester fees sums upto 1,93,000 including hostel and mess charges. Therefore the year wise fees totals 4,71,000. Also there is 100% scholarship for students having under 1000 rank, 75% for 1001-2500 rank and 50% for 2501-4000. There is same fees for all the categories. No reservation on fees
