BIT Mesra MTech Eligibility Criteria

  • Students should have a BTech/BE/MCA in any relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks
  • MSc/MA degree or equivalent with at least 55% (50% for SC/ST) after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in the 10+2+3 system.
  • Candidates appearing for their final examinations of their Bachelor’s can also apply for this program. In this case, students must have appeared for examinations with a minimum of 55% marks. 
  • Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programs are eligible only if the programs are recognized by the tripartite panel of AICTE-UGC-DEC. Also, if they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with a minimum of 55% marks on average (50% for SC/ST).

BIT Mesra MTech Selection Criteria

Candidates who are GATE 2022/GATE 2023/GATE 2024 qualified will be considered for admission without any entrance test. However, non-GATE candidates can also apply for the BIT Mesra MTech admission. In this case, they will have to go through an online screening test. This test will consist of a written test and a personal interview and the syllabus for the test will be as same as GATE.
