I chose the university for its ranking but when I applied the ranking was 16 in the world now it is 27 in the world according to QS. I now realize that ranking plays a very small part in the facilities provided, as all universities here offer the same facilities. My experience has been average as according to me the university didn’t provide adequate academic support that students needed in terms of subjects that were new and challenging for most of my class. As a class representative, I took a lot of the concerns to them and the university didn’t do anything about the problems we faced as international students.
Course Curriculum :
My course doesn’t seem very relevant to the current practices and seems outdated. But we were taken to London to meet companies for a field trip and see how HR professionals work here.
Exams :
- IELTS and good grades in bachelors were the only requirement for me. I got 8.5/10 in IELTS and fit the 2:1 requirements for the bachelor's degree. - ICSE - 91% (10th), HSC - 80% (12) University of Mumbai - BCom in Accounting and Finance (88%) UG - Requirements: Yes, I had to submit 2 references - one from college and one from my workplace. It should describe how you are as a person and why you are the right fit for the university. SOP should describe your ambitions and why you want to be a part of that course and university, it has a very big impact on making a decision.
Placement :
My university does not have this facility unfortunately.
Fees :
30000 GBP
Faculty :
The faculty is very well-educated and approachable, they are knowledgeable in their field of study and are very helpful. Ji Won Song is my supervisor for the dissertation and has been a great help in guiding me.
Campus Life :
Campus life is really good, you get to make friends easily. The facilities available are great too, they almost have everything here to make you feel at ease and comfortable.
Hostel :
I live in university accommodation and the rent is approx 850 GBP per months including bills.
