Remarks :

Good for studios students placements are very low. Don't have internship facility. No high standard infrastructures. One can have very good academic record and if going to be a lucterur with high marks, this college is good.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum that we followed was of Calicut university. But right now, the syllabus changed and whole of Kerala is following the same syllabus of KTU. The exam structure is semester wise. In total you have 8 semesters.

Placement Experience :

Placements are very low. Compared to other colleges in and around the placement is good. Being from CSE, our batch didn't get a chance to attend placements atleast one IT company in our campus. But placement people will take you to possible centers and will get atleast one chance for the same.

College Events :

College is giving importance to arts but not to sports. Onam is the major festival celebrated here. No other festivals will be celebrated. Sports is not at all conducted. Arts festivals are conducted for whole Ahalia community and is high in standard.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is feasible. The college offers same fee for management and merit. It also provides attractive scholarships for meritorious students. A student can study for free if he secures 90% in his 12th grade.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The campus is having Canara bank attached to it. This bank provided loans to meritorious students. One will not require scholarships since he will obviously have good Mark's and thus belongs to any of the scholarship category.

Campus Life :

The labs are of sub standard. It is having all required facilities but most of it will not be working. The computer lab is air conditioned. More than 200 systems are there at the labs. You don't have an open wifi at the campus and mobile network is very low.

Hostel Facilities :

I was a day scholar. The bus fee was around 7000 to the Palakkad city during my studies. Hostel is common for whole ahalia people. It is very huge and can accommodate almost all sanctioned number of students.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

The college now have 4 years of passed out students. The alumni association is not very strong but obviously one can get help from the seniors. They can get the phone number from college and feel free to contact them.

Admission :

I wrote the KEAM examination on 2013. The exam is conducted yearly by the Kerala Government. There are two papers in the exam. First one is Mathematics and the other one is Physics and Chemistry. It is mandatory to score at atleast 10 Mark's in both the exams to be in rank list. To know the rank which makes you eligible to get into admission is available in the Keam website.

Faculty :

Faculty of my college are Mtech holders. HoD s are PhD holders. The staffs are very good in theoretic knowledge but are not good in practical knowledge. The staffs are having experience for atleast two years. You can study here and get job if you are good enough to study yourself.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
