Remarks :

The ambience of the entire college is something else and one that must be felt to understand. Also the senior junior interaction and relationship right from the day of admission is admirable. Also the spacious and green campus always gives off a fresh feeling.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The courses offered here are exceptionally good. The exam structure is both convenient and at the same time challenging for the students. Two internal exams before the main sem exam prepares the students in the right way.

Placement Experience :

Every year the placement cell bags an even better placement statistic than last year. The placement currently is really good. The college does offer internships but I haven't had a chance to attend one since I've just finished my first year.

College Events :

The college has many events hosted by it. The main attraction being Dyuthi. Dyuthi 19 included shows by Nucleya the DJ, Agam the band and Gowry Lekshmi the singer. This was probably the best college fest in whole of Kerala. Other than Dyuthi, the college hosts Confluence the cultural fest, and various other activities including football and cricket leagues called GSL and GPL respectively.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is extremely affordable. My entire fees for my first year of BTech degree including my admission fees added up to 14k Indian rupees. Also fee waivers or scholarships are given to deserving students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college offers many scholarships. I didn't get a chance to apply for any of them till now. But I do know of a few. They include the ones which waive off the entire tuition fees. Or provide students with stipends.

Campus Life :

There are labs in every department. The labs are equipped with the latest and best equipment. The college even features an MIT Fablab. For sports and recreation a huge ground is provided with a physical education department equipped with all the sports goods accessable to all students

Hostel Facilities :

I am a day scholar, so I don't stay in the hostel. I have been to the hostel a few times and I'd rate it as good. The rooms are spacious and every floor has a common toilet. They have wide corridors leading to rooms.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors students are the best thing about this college. They build up a rapport with the juniors very well before they leave. Hence they maintain that relationship even after they leave. The alumni network is really strong in this college and the alumni are really helpful with everything.

Admission :

I had to go for extra training to ace the entrance exam related with the college, that is KEAM, since there is a lot of competition here. After securing a decent rank in the exam, I was allowed a seat in GEC. I was given a date for admission and the entire process was smooth and was over in a day.

Faculty :

The faculty of my college are well trained. Most of them are highly knowledgeable and help the students grow. They also mostly conduct well with the students and interfere very less in our day to day lives.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
