Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum that influenced mt decision are finance, human resource , marketing etc. This curriculum teaches a lot about these topics and aslo internships gives us industry level experience. The only improvement I want is that the teacher should tell us atleast a day before that they will take class or not. Frequency is like 2 times a year, duration of core paper is 3 hours and for vac sac and other papers it be one or two hour , if we talk about difficulty level it's moderate, neither hard nor easy.

Placement Experience

3

To be honest , unlike north campus shaheed bhagat singh evening college does not have strong campus placemnets . Wipro , TCS , Genpact and many other companies visited in 5th - 6th semester . their average package is around 1-2 lakhs per annum only . highest package would be around 3 lakh per annum . 10-20% of students gets placed only . my plan is to prepare for MBA for further studies while persuing some internships , or any data analytics or business analytics course , depending upon the interest .

Fees and Financial Aid

I am from general category The yearly fees I am paying 15000 per year , Including all the tution fees , caution fees , registration fees and all . Fees of my batchmates are mostly same The students of other category like sc/st they get the tution fees refund with ina year Also students from weaker sections and other categories , they are required to pay less . Also if you have 9 cgpa and more than 75% attendance you can migrate also to different colleges

Campus Life

4

Studying in evening college in delhi university id quite unique experience . Annual fest is UDDAN held every year in march . This attracts many other du colleges students also . Commercium is the commerce fest held by commerce society only it includes case competitions , business quizes etc . Has wide range of text books , reference books and journals for BCOM and political science students also have a reading room facility for evening and morning students. This college offers access to outdoor games like badminton , cricket and and few indoor games also .indoor games like table tennis, chess ,carrom etc. Yes there are several student run societies including an enactus , placement cell ,marketing society , sports society and there is decent bonding among students in the society.

Admission

I have applied for many colleges in Delhi University like Ramjas, dyal singh , ramanujan , cvs , venketeshwar , and many others. but acc to my cuet i got this college And why I chose this college it because evening shift flexible timings , location is quite good and also the reputation of this college and the main point is affordability, 15000 per year is worth it . Yes I got rejections, as cut-offs are high and I scored not good marks thats why i didn't able to make it there. There was a huge difference between morning colleges and evening colleges. The admission process is through CUET for eligibility minimum pass in class 12th, best 4 subjects to be included for the admission. As I am not able to score good marks, this college is more suitable for me

Faculty

4

Some departments like Commerce, Political Science, and Geography have more experienced and supportive faculty. Professors are helpful especially in evening shifts as batch sizes are smaller. Some Commerce & Hindi teachers and students some are not punctual, rely too much or are not helpful during internals. 2 semester per year .. students can clear exams even study just one day before exam Only 5% people fail to clear exams

Night Life

4

It offers a unique experience as compared to traditional day college . this college has a small canteen in which you found half of students hanging out . some students prefer chilling in open area of the campus . nearby hangout sports are saket mall , Khan market and ansal Plaza . Students often go to select city walk mall for late night movies and places like the big chill cafe , delhi heights offer a good late night vibe with good food and music and also many students like grabbing street food after their evening classes local vendors near saket or malviya Nagar serve everything from chhole bhature to fruits and ice creams . Yes the area is safe for students , there are many Offices residential complex chemist and also temples are also there and students often prefer Ola and Uber to come back to thier pgs and flats .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d say the B.Com (Hons.) curriculum is quite relevant and covers important subjects like Accounting, Finance, Law, and Management, which was one reason I chose this course. It does build a strong base for CA, MBA, or govt. exams, but some parts still feel too theory-based and outdated. DU should add more practical exposure, case studies, and industry-linked content. We usually have internals mid-semester and finals at the end — they’re manageable if you study regularly, but tricky if left for the last minute.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In class 12 I took Commerce so that's the reason I choose B.Com for Graduation . and doing B.Com from DU SOL is best option for me because only 2 days are for classes and rest days I can do other things and also prepare for Government Exam. I choose is course because I want to work for government banks so B.Com provide a foundation for banking terms and give a clear understanding related to Finance. B.Com includes subjects like Finance Accounting, Company law, Income tax law and practice ,etc. B.Com is a good course for students who want to go in the field for Finance or Accounting ,etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I was from a commerce background and it is easy for me to understand the subjects in BCOM rather than any other course .The teacher to student ratio is 1:40.The faculty of IGNOU is highly qualified and experienced but their teaching method is not so good . The exams tooks place twice in a year i.e semester exams. Students whose concepts are clear and studied nicely will easily clear the exams .
