Course Curriculum Overview
The Bsc Statistics Curriculum At Du Is Well Structured And Great For Students Aiming For Higher Studies Like Jam And Iss. It Covers Core Theoretical Subjects In Depth But Lacks Practical Exposure To Tools Like R Or Python. Exams Are Semester Wise With Internals, And The Difficulty Is Moderate.
Fees and Financial Aid
For my Bsc Statistics Course At Ramjas College, the yearly fee Was Around 16000 rupees, And It Stayed The Same Throughout All Three Years - No Increase. This Included Tuition, Registration, Lab And Other Basic Charges. For Sc/ST and EWS categories, Many Students Got Fee Waivers Or Reductions. Du Also Offers Scholarships Like Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship Based On Academic Performance And Family Income. Some Students Also Applied For Scholarships Through The National Scholarship Portal.
Campus Life
My Overall Experience With Campus Life At Ramjas College Was Enriching. The College Organizes Annual Fests Like Ramjas Fest And Department Level Events, Usually Held Around Feb- March. Being Part Of Clubs Helped Me Improve My Communication. The Campus Has A Very Socially Diverse Environment, Which Made It Easy To Connect With People From Different Backgrounds.
Admission
I Applied To multiple Du colleges, like Hindu and Kirori Mal, for a B.sc. In Statistics. I got admission offers from a couple of them, but I chose Ramjas Because Of Its Good Academic Reputation, Experienced Faculty, And Active Student Societies. The Environment Here Felt More Balanced Overall. I Didn'T Get Into Hindu Due To A Slightly Higher Cutoff That Year. The DU admission Process Was Completely Based On CUET scores.
Faculty
The Faculty To Student Ratio In Stats Department Was Quite Reasonable, And Most Professors Were Supportive. We Had Direct Access To Teachers During Class Hours And Could Also Reach Out Ot Them After Class Or Over Email For Doubts. The Course Curriculum Was Well Aligned With Competitive Exams Like Jam And ISS. It Gave A Solid Foundation In Both Theoretical And Applied Statistics.
Night Life
Nightlife Around Ramjas College Is Decent And Mostly Students Friendly. While The Campus Itself Closes By Evening, The Nearby Kamla Nagar Market, Hudson Lane, And North Campus Area Stay Lively Till Late. There's No Campus Hostel In Ramjas For Boys, Nad Girls' Hostel Has Fixed Time. Students Usually Unwind By Grabbing Coffee At Spots Like Ricos Or Big Yellow Door.
