Life in PAU

Bsc agriculture as a course is a very good option after your 12th beacuse its a honours degree course u will learn everything about horticulture , economics, english, maths, biochem, biotechnology, food techonology means everything related to agriculture is taught here plus we are told to work in fields so that we can learn from ground level plus interacting with farmers and listening to their part is also there which gave us a real world experience. the frequency of exams are high but they are easy

Various interships are offered here companies godrej foods , balaji wafers, delmontes foods, verka, ludhiana beverages, nestle u can choose any of it, all are without stipend, u can perform various projects under them

During last semester students become eligible for placements. Companies visited are Relaince, HDFC BANK, Swiggy, Godrej foods ltd. and many more. Avg package is around 6-7 lakhs per annum. students max dont go for placements they rather go for masters degree. My plans are to become an entrepreneur.

The year wise fees is around 38k-40k yearly for general category students for SC/ST stundents its around 3k yearly.Tution fees is around 12000 plus various funds are included plus college library fees around 700, nearly 10 scolarships are given based on different criteria like merit based , rural background, reserved class etc.

Annual youth festival is conducted every year, annual sports day also, kissan mela twice a year. every type of book and journal is available in college library . every classroom is equipped with modern smart boards plus AC. all types os sports are and extra curricular are offered in the campus you can choose any plus level of them are also great and sport stadiums are also of great quality.

Hostels are not of good condition they are extremely dirty. meal quality is just okish. hostel affordability is cheap, u can rent a room in rishi nagar or kitchlu nagar they are best options or near gate no 3of the university

I choose this college my university nirf 1st rank among state agricultural university and 3rd among national level agricultural university. I want to take admission in this college only and i got that. admission is after 10th through AAT exam and after 12th [ from medical/non medical stream only] through CET exam.

I dont know exactly about the faculty to student ratio but it's very good, there are ample of teachers to whom u can ask yours doubts plus every 10 students are given a advisor teacher during thier course who guide students throught the degree program. Per semester 4 exams are conducted one after month hourly exams , then come the mid term, exams, then the practicals, then the final semester examination every semester.. The exam level are easy to moderate.

Gyms / cafeterias are also avaliable on the campus which open around 9 am and closes by 9pm. boys hostels are open 24 hrs girls hostel from 5am to 8pm during summers and upto 7pm during winters. hangout places are nescafe, Lpm, rock garden
