Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am pursuing physics honours. I have choosed these course because physics is my favorite subjet and it seems interesting to me as there are lot more real life implementations of physics. Also there are lot more job options later like you can go for masters degree professor or teacher in a school you ca do your own research. There will be internal exams and external exams and the gap between them will be one and half months which is easily manageable .

Internships Opportunities

5

Lot of internships are offered to students. I also applied in some of them but unfortunately i didn't make in any of them. For getting opportunities you must have right skills. Like communication python etc.

Placement Experience

4

As i am in the first year i am not sure about how the placements are done and what's the package. Nut i have heard form the seniors that if you have worked on right skills that companies are looking for and along with that you have managed to get good cgpa i.e more that 8. Then you will definitely get the placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

As i am in my 1st year(2nd sem). I had paid 16000 at the start of my classes . Which is less than the fee of general students(category). I am not completely sure but the fee for general category students was around 20000. There are lot of scholarship opportunities but its upto you how you grab them.

Campus Life

5

In our college lot of fests happens. With great artists and performances. The overall crowd is good but with some exceptions. We have our cultural fests , departmental fests and society fests. The college libray will offer variety of books of arts, science, self help books and lot more. There are three reading rooms in the college. There are ac's in the classes and labs but exceptions are there. Along with that there is projector in every class. There are sports teams like cricket football basketball badminton table tennis hockey boxing. To be a part oxf college team you have to clear their trials first.

Admission

Getting into DU college you have to take cuet exam. And the you will get the college according to the cutoff of that course in that college. For that you first have to make the preference list of the colleges you want to take admission. There are three rounds of the admission and you can also upgrade the college i lf you don't want to get admission in the alloted college. But you can only get the other college if you have cleared the cutoff of that college of that specific course that you want to pursue

Faculty

4

The overall faculty is very good. The student faculty ratio is also good. The teachers are so cooperative with the students and will clear all the doubts. The difficulty of exam is neutral and the topics will be according to the syllabus.

Night Life

5

There are two canteens in our college and a gym . Library usually get closed at 5pm but reading room remains open till 8pm. Few of my friends are in college hostel and by talking to them i can say the hostel is pretty good you will get food according to the mess menu which includes both veg and non veg. Outside campus is very nice especially kamla nagar market there are lot of café coffee shops restaurants and many more. It is safe to roam around the campus.

Placement Experience:

Gargi, like most other delhi colleges, has a standard placement cell. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards, but most requirements happen during the final year. The companies that visit are primarily ed tech based ventures or marketing, HR firms and sales firms. A few that have collaborated over the year has been EY, Decathlon, Urban Company, Deloitte and so on. in terms of packages, the highest that had been around 15-17lpa, and the average package is 4-5lpa. About 20-30% of the batch gets placed during placement interviews while many try to pursue other opportunities or off-campus venues.

as the everyone know for computer science b tech is the best course but there is to much rush for b tech and i dont want to waste my college life or campus life on engenerring degree which dont give me placements thats why i choose for bsc hons cs in du to enjoy the campus life. if you study well in this course it will definately help vo in job interview making your resume good and skills better. the teaching method should be more practical than doing on notebooks or oraly. the datesheet and timings of exams are preety good and the difficulty of exam are moderate the ones who prepares will definately score good marks and can maintain better cgpa.

Placement Experience:

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.
