The vibe of the college is just soo good. One can just sit and chill in Ashoka lawn and embrace the beauty of the red building of KMC
Library: It is one of the best library in North campus having almost all the courses's books one may ever need during their college life and is equipped with AC.
Chemistry Department, Undoubtedly the best department.

Dislikes

Canteen: The canteen is a bit small and the quality of food is also not that good as compared to canteens of other north campus colleges.
Administration: Its a bit slow and they just keep you waiting at times for minute tasks.
Boys common room: The BCR is not maintained properly as compared to GCR

Course Curriculum Overview

The Chemistry department of Kirori Mal college is one of the best in Delhi university. Most of the professors are highly qualified and take proper classes and put in extra efforts at times to help you with internships and stuff. Exams are like any other college exam,you can pass them by studying before 10-15 days,but my advice would be to study regularly as it helps build your concepts.

Internships Opportunities

For Chemistry the college doesn't provide with internships but professor's do help with the same. You can get internships in top tier institutions including IITs,NITs,IISERs,IISc etc. and some professors also help in getting industry internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is around 14.5k/year which is pretty decent and is comparable to other colleges of Delhi University. Various scholarships like INSPIRE are provided by DST,Govt. of India for students of sciences,which includes Chemistry students. Apart from that college alos provides fee concession upto 100% on merit cum means basis. It involves filling up the form followed by an interview with the fee concession commitee. Jobs just after BSc are scarce and one has to complete atleast Masters to get a decent paying job in the field of chemistry.

Campus Life

The annual fest of Kirori Mal college is Renaissance,which is organised in the month of March/April. Apart from the college's annual fest, each department organises its own annual fest. For eg: The department of chemistry of KiroriMal college has its annual fest named "KHRUSOS" Pretty much all the books are available in the college library. Classrooms are well ventilated and light up. The college offers almost all the sports facilities including badminton,volleyball,football,cricket and all indoor games.It also has an inhouse gym

Admission

One need to half PCM in their 12th for taking admission in B.Sc. Hons. Chemistry at Kirorimal College. The application is through Delhi University portal itself and its pretty much easy. Earlier their used to be cutoffs on the basis of 12th board marks,but now the admission is done via CUET-UG

The real college experience

Placement Experience:

Gargi, like most other delhi colleges, has a standard placement cell. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards, but most requirements happen during the final year. The companies that visit are primarily ed tech based ventures or marketing, HR firms and sales firms. A few that have collaborated over the year has been EY, Decathlon, Urban Company, Deloitte and so on. in terms of packages, the highest that had been around 15-17lpa, and the average package is 4-5lpa. About 20-30% of the batch gets placed during placement interviews while many try to pursue other opportunities or off-campus venues.

ANDC= The most average old school type campus life

as the everyone know for computer science b tech is the best course but there is to much rush for b tech and i dont want to waste my college life or campus life on engenerring degree which dont give me placements thats why i choose for bsc hons cs in du to enjoy the campus life. if you study well in this course it will definately help vo in job interview making your resume good and skills better. the teaching method should be more practical than doing on notebooks or oraly. the datesheet and timings of exams are preety good and the difficulty of exam are moderate the ones who prepares will definately score good marks and can maintain better cgpa.

Good for science courses but infrastructure and surrounding area is not good

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are average. There is a placement cell in our college that is mostly run by students only. Average placement package is 3 to 4 LPA. Companies like Wipro, TCS that visits our college for placements. 5 and 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. 60 to 100 students per year get placements.

Placement Experience:

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.

KMC is Karizmatic!!

St Stephens as for BSc it is arguably one of the best colleges of DU. The cut-off was just missed by some points or else, i would have been there. College wise we are also among the best and to get admissions here, CUET (UG) and then once the results are out, CSAS portal is where i registered. I booked my seat through there and locked ut before it was gone. Yes, sometimes we miss out on our favourite college due to that but it is inevitable to lock that on time as well....Read More

Why to choose KMC for your studies??

The eligibility for admission into my course which was B.A.(Hons) Political Science was the merit cut-off declared by the college but now admission is now on the basis of once CUET scores. Admission usually after 12th results are announced by the CBSE and we have a university portal where one can apply for the admission. Sometimes declaration of subsequent cut-offs is delayed because the verification of the documents produced in the previous cut-off has not been completed.
