SISTER NIVEDITA UNIVERSITY

The course is a mix-up of mathematics, computer and statistics. there are so many combined classes with other dept. We also have to choose one foreign language which last up to 3-5 semesters. the course is designed in such a way that it does not only give bokish knowledge but also some practical ideas abt the real world.

The semester fee is approximately Rs. 25,000, along with a one-time admission fee of around 30k. Scholarships are available as well. i recieved a 50% scholarship on my tutuion fee (not on the entire semester fee) for securing over 80%+ marks in my 12th gradeexaminations. simlarly, various other scholorships are also offered based on different eligiblity creteria.

There are sports facility available, Canteens, cafe, food trucks are available inside the clg campus. There are clubs available. Students can join easily. Dance, sports, NCC, and so many other things are available.

I applied to many other colleges but ended up choosing this one because of a list of reasons. i couldnt make it to St. Xaviers clg bcoz my marks were not up to the marks (95%+) . Sister Nivedita clg is located in new town, which is a very good location compared to other places in kolkata in terms of so many things. also, many of my school friends took admission in this clg only. this clg have so many courses (85+).

since the no. of students are less it maintains a good faculty-to-student ration. The HOD and other teachers are extremelly talented and helpful. All of them are from reputed colleges and have completed their Phd.

Library is open from 10 AM to 5 PM from monday to saturday. hostel is not inside campus,but it is at some distance from main campus. bus facility is provided for hostellers. There are cafes, food canteen area and some some a small ground in front of main block to chill in between classes.
