Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum I think is good and relevant to course but a bit practical experience lacks in this college. The theory we needs to know they teach us but the practical experience we need they don't really provide that. The fascination to podcasting led me to this course. Overall it's a very good course with relevant curriculum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee for BA Hons journalism course at the Institute of home economics, University of Delhi, is approximately 34,750. Delhi University and its affiliated colleges, including the Institute of Home Economics, offer various merit-based and need-based scholarships. Some are provided by the Delhi University scholarship cell, while others are awarded by external organisations.

Campus Life

4

Talking about fests almost all the fests are held around February to March. In February the major annual fest takes place feria and in the match the journalism department fest occurs, Cascade. Our library has very wide range of books according to our courses ,they have everything we need in their library. Sports is not so active in our college due to lack of playground facilities. There are various student run social groups and clubs in the college campus making the college interesting.

Admission

I gave cuet for getting in to this college this was the first college I got alloted to and i freezed the option at first time or else I could be in North campus du colleges but this college is also very good and as I was getting my desired courses why would I back away so I chose it and it's genuinely a good college

Faculty

5

The college faculty is very good . Teaching is nice . Student teacher relationship is also good. Teachers are bit lenient and give students time. Examination system is in every 6 month's end semester exams are conducted and before that 12 marks internal of each subject is conducted. Practicals are also conducted 40 marks each subject external comes to take viva . Almost students pass the failing rate is low . Course curriculum is relevant. Internal exams are easy but semester exams are bit difficult.

Night Life

3

Firstly this college doesn't have any hostel facility of their own. Secondly we have a momo stall and panipuri stall infront of our college. Gym is available in our very own college. Campus timings are usually 9 to 5 in the evening. It's safe around the campus to roam. As our college is in prime location like hauz khas there are number of cafes in distance of 5 to 10 mins .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Journalism was first introduced in Delhi University at DCAC. The amazing faculty and a proper media studio makes Delhi College of Arts and Commerce a perfect choice for Jouranlism aspirants. The media studio has professional mics, green screen, cameras, teleprompter, switcher and other equipment required for real life learning. The classes are full-fledged, sometimes irregular. Exams are scheduled at the end of each semester. However, internal and continous assesment happen regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course intending to enter the field of journalism, but unfortunately, I found the curriculum lacking in term of real-world experience. While the teaching methods were good and the faculty did their best, the core issue laay in the syllabus itself. The curriculum was heavily theory-based, with minimal emphasis on practical training, There were no opportunities for ground reporting, feature writing, or other essential field activities like that were crucial for my career. I feel that the course did not fully equip us with the hands-on experience needed to step confidentely into industry

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course sounds very interesting and covers a large spectrum of topics. There are a total of 60 students in the class of 2024, which is further divided into two sections of 30 students each. The faculty is very well read and the classes are interactive. We have frequent debates and discussions on some very interesting topics. The exams are held semester wise every 4-5 months. The difficulty level is not much when it comes to passing the examinations.
