Admission
Delhi College of Arta and Commerce was my first prefernce for Journalism Honours. The media studio to provide hands on experience, the faculty for guidance and the amazing crowd made it my best choice. CUET is important for admission in DCAC. Cutoff for general category is around 680/800. It is lower for SC, ST and OBC. Admission procedure is completely online.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio for Journalism Honours is good with 6 professors over 60 students. The faculty is amiable, understanding and excellent in their teachings. They are very approachable, helpful and provide proper guidance to shape future of their students. All other faculties are equally good. There is one final exam for each semester. The course compiles of 6 semesters. However, there is also a scope for fourth year (8 semesters). In addition to the written exam, practicals and tutes for few subjects apply. Internal and continous assessment maintains consistency within students. The exams contain both easy and difficult questions. They are very relevant to the course curriculum and hence, chances of failing is low.
Night Life
Satya Niketan is just a metro station away and so is Sarojini Nagar. Hence, cafes, gyms, parks, and a place to shop are all very accessible. DCAC does not have hostel facilty but PGs are available at reasonable rent. Few are time constraint- closing at 10pm and opening at 6am. Others have no restruction as such. Flats are also available near college. ARD Complex is one such area. It is safe and posh.
