Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is accurately formed as per the ICAR guidelines. The curriculum was more focused on theoretical learning although faculties were unable toh complete whole syllabus in one semester. The timing of exam is right
Internships Opportunities
College do provide some 15 days/21 days on campus internships and AIA( Agriculture Industrial Attachment) programme but charge decent amount of fee for the same. As an agricultural student there were not many internship opportunities available at that time
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise fees which I paid was approx 75000. This includes all the fees (like admission, development, lab, exam and other miscellaneous fees). The fees was same for all, category doesn't matter. No financial aid given by college.
Campus Life
If campus life means to take back to back lectures, having here and there free time and some rigorous field work then the college life was quite appreciable. Other than that there were no clubs, students portal to work on other learnings of students
Admission
Chose this college as I heard it was semi-government but later I came to know that it was turned into a private college. Thought of continuing with it was that they have been providing agriculture degree for last 15 years so they must be experienced as the other other agriculture college in Dehradun were recently opened
Faculty
Faculty is helpful. The ratio was 1:30 for students and faculty. They are approachable. Two exams were there in one semester- internal (20 marks), external (50 marks), and lab file, assignments and viva-voce (30 marks)
Interview Experience
No there was no group discussion round neither personal interview for selection. The process was wholly based on 12th percentage. Just focus on your board exams and score a good percentage. Although the process is not tough as it is private university admission process is easy
Night Life
As I was localite, I did not experience much nighlife in college. Surely there was library, cafeterias and eateries in and around college. The classes usually begin from 10 am and went till 4 pm in the evening depending on the practical that we were assigned
